Rapper TI has been missing in action for some time when it comes to making music but guess what, the artiste is all set to drop his brand new album titled ‘The LIBRA’ which stands for “The Legend Is Back Running Atlanta”. The American rapper had announced his new project on his 40th birthday with the help of a music video titled ‘Ring’ featuring Young Thug in September. He had announced the song a few days prior to his birthday but shared a re-tweet of the independent label Empire’s post on his born day.

"It’s his 40th birthday today Party popper, but the ATL legend @Tip  is gifting us with the visuals to his bangin’ single “Ring” featuring the one and only  @youngthug  out now."

The upcoming album will be TI’s 11th studio album and is a follow-up to his 2018 album called ‘Dime Trap’ which debuted at No 13 on the Billboard 200.

Release date and concept

The singer-songwriter had announced the release date of ‘The LIBRA’ while speaking to DJ Skee over a video call a few days ago. The rapper also shared a tweet for the same and captioned it, “#TheLIBRA is the evolution of trap music @djskee @DASHRADIO1”

According to the video shared, the new album will hit the Internet on Friday, October 16, 2020, and is expected to be released via TI's independent label, Grand Hustle Records. If we talk about the concept of the album, the tweet’s caption says it all. TI said that ‘The LIBRA’ will be an evolution of trap music. Also, we must tell you that rapper TI is considered as the founding father of trap music. When it comes to the official cover art of the album, the ‘What You Know’ hitmaker still has to shed light on this.

Features

As the website Rap-Up reported, ‘The LIBRA’ will see guest verses from heavy lifters like Benny the Butcher, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, Jadakiss, Jeremih, John Legend and Young Thug among a few others.

Tracklist

Even though TI has not dropped the details on the official tracklist, the rapper had released an official music video on the day of the announcement. The song is titled ‘Ring’ and it features Young Thug on the guest verse. You can check out the official music video of the song here:
