Season one of the 'Verzuz' battle proved to be quite a showdown for the viewers. Hence, looking at the positive response, the webcast series, created by record producers Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, is now all set for the second season. The very first battle of the second season will be broadcasted Live on Verzuz’s official Instagram handle on Thursday, November 19, however, there is a twist in the tale which has got the fans super hyped.

The first battle of the second season was first supposed to go down between rappers TI and Busta Rhymes to which the former declined excusing himself by calling it a “generational gap”. Rapper Jeezy was then locked to go head to head with TI. It was also revealed that Jeezy first wanted to go against Gucci Mane where the latter had declined the Live Instagram battle very respectfully by taking it to Twitter saying that he won't participate in a 'Verzuz' battle unless he's paid a million for it. Interestingly, Jeezy and Gucci Mane share a long history of beef. It was finally decided that fans will get to see a TI vs Jeezy battle. However, the twist in the tale is now that Gucci Mane has agreed to battle it out Jeezy which has left TI hanging in the air.

Gucci Mane took to Twitter to surprise his fan following by sharing an official poster of his 'Verzuz' Instagram battle. He captioned the picture as, “Tell buddy get ready @verzuzonlinenov 19 TrapGod vs SnoCone.” Rapper TI was then quick to respond on the same as he shared the same poster on his official Instagram account and captioned the pic as, “Now THIS.... Is what the people wants to see‼@therealswizzz @timbaland@jeezy @laflare1017Trap Muzik salutes y'all.@verzuztv 11-19-2020.”

Confirming the news, the official Twitter account had first shared the poster and revealed why they reshuffled the line-up. They captioned the picture as “We listened to the people and had to reshuffle the deck on ‘em. Gucci Mane vs Jeezy This is not a false alarm. The Super Bowl of the South. Some said it would NEVER happen, but it’s finally ON. This Thursday at 5pm PT/8pm ET on @applemusic in HD."

The entire situation also got the fans excited. One user suggested, “Should make it a triple threat ti vs Gucci vs Jeezy.” One fan stated, “About right...Jeezy got this but that T.I. matchup wasn’t quite fair, a lil lopsided for T.I.” Another added, “Ti vs Jeezy was a good one. I don’t know why they changed it. I hope Gucci doesn’t play “Truth”.  One user stated, “This is the actual Super Bowl of Atlanta trap music. This is gonna be epic.”

Jeezy and Gucci have had a long history of beef, one of the most prominent ones in recent hip-hop history, which turned into an all-out war. In 2005, Gucci was apparently blamed for killing Henry “Pookie Loc” Clark III, one of Jeezy's associates, during an alleged home invasion at his house. Clark’s body was found three days after the incident and Gucci didn't call the police at the time of the shooting. Gucci was eventually charged but was later cleared as he claimed to have acted in self-defense. Since then, Gucci has shown no remorse for Clark's death and has even posed memes about the incident. Over the years, Jeezy has continually insisted that he didn't provoke Pookie Loc to attempt to rob Gucci.
