Soulja Boy sued by ex-girlfriend for kidnapping and assault
Rapper Soulja Boy is in trouble - again. The artist is being sued for kidnapping and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers in February.
Myers claims she was prevented from leaving the rapper's Agoura Hills home at around 2:30 am following a heated argument. Myers also claims Soulja Boy punched and kicked her before tying her up to a chair with an extension cord and leaving her in his garage for six hours.
Though the incident occurred in February and was previously reported, Soulja Boy was not charged due to insufficient evidence in the kidnapping case.
The rapper nonetheless found himself in prison for 146 days in 2019 for another reason -- a search of his home by law enforcement following the kidnapping allegations turned up weapons and ammo which was in direct violation of his probation for a previous weapons case.
New details have now emerged regarding the February incident, however, with Myers claiming the rapper's assitant sexually assaulted her while she was kept imprisoned. As per legal documents, Myers alleges that a male assistant demanded oral sex in exchange for her release. Myers says she agreed, believing she had no other choice. Following the alleged assault Soulja Boy is claimed to have said "Now get this b**** outta here before I knock her down the stairs." Myers says she was released after the assault at 8 am, following a six hour ordeal.
She contacted the police after she got home following which she was treated in a hospital for three broken ribs and a concussion, and was discharged later that day. Police have confirmed that a kidnapping report had been filed and that the investigation was ongoing.
While Soulja Boy is yet to comment on the recent allegations, his manager, despite not being in contact with the rapper insists they are all untrue, claiming that if there was a problem his client would have informed him.
Soulja Boy has had several run-ins with the law, including a 2017 charge for the possession of a firearm and for allegedly stealing a gun out of a police car.
