In a disturbing trend, a slew of celebrity musicians have recently tested positive for the coronavirus, including Jackson Browne and the late Manu Dibango. Following the same, now Houston rapper Scarface of Geto Boys fame is the latest music star to have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic that is rapidly spreading across the globe. Over 465,000 cases have been confirmed worldwide, and that number is steadily climbing.

In a recent March 26 live-stream interview with his longtime friend and Geto Boys partner-in-rhyme, Willie D, the hip-hop artiste Scarface confirmed that he had contracted the notorious coronavirus. Scarface, whose real name is Brad Jordan said that the terrible viral ordeal had taken a toll on his body as it has stretched over several weeks. "I been to the point where I felt like I was going to die, bro," said a somber Scarface to Willie D.

He also revealed that the COVID-19 disease had forced him to vomit so much that there was no food left in his stomach and he was just throwing up bile "like hot sauce." Scarface also admitted he wasn't sure where he'd first contracted the virus, considering he didn't really get out that much and hadn't been traveling lately.

It all started with an itch in his throat that gradually developed into a life-threating case of pneumonia in both lungs, kidney failure, and a 103-degree fever. The rapper revealed that he had been in and out of the hospital several times already, and unfortunately, Jordan only received his coronavirus test results on March 25, which was a long wait to endure.

Considering he also had a pre-existing asthmatic condition, the singer revealed that the virus had deeply impacted his respiratory system. Breathing became extremely difficult, and he said that it felt like "there was an elephant sitting on my chest.”

He also implored people to take the pandemic seriously, saying, “I don’t see how nobody can even want to play them games, I don’t want to have fun that bad, where it could take my life.” But now that the worst had passed, Jordan believed that he had finally recovered from the virus, although he still remained in quarantine. Finally able to see the lighter, brighter side of life, the relieved rapper told Willie D, “I’m finna go fucking live now, man! Like skydiving and shit, I’m gonna go do that. We’ll go on a safari trip.”

We wish Scarface a speedy recovery and hope he's not too scarred by his ordeal.
