The singer, Akon, seems to have gotten a hair transplant that did not seem to work in his favor as fan are calling his hair 'fake'

DUBAI, UAE: It was a memorable night for R&B fans in Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on January 21, Saturday, as the event was headlined by Ashanti accompanied by rapper Fat Joe. To make the event more interesting, Ja Rule was announced as a special guest too. However, the celebrities were joined by another R&B superstar Akon. Fat Joe took to his social media to share a picture of himself with Ja Rule and Akon. However, the picture blew up for the wrong reason, i.e., Akon's hair. 

Akon doesn't need an introduction. The 49-year-old R&B sensation was a rage in the 2000s and gave his fans some timeless classics. One such song was 'Smack That' featuring one of the most successful rappers of all time Eminem. Moreover, Shaquille O’Neal was heard singing the song on his show 'Shaqtin’ a Fool' after an alleged ‘foul’ made by one of the veteran players of the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Akon's fan following still intact, people were quick to notice his recent hair switch-up in the picture shared by Fat Joe as the singer had a patent look earlier with a bald head. The singer seems to have gotten a hair transplant that did not seem to work in his favor. The Internet is in splits after seeing his 'fake' hair.

One user heavily trolled Akon and wrote, "Akon threw that hair piece in the air and ran up under it." Another user tweeted, "I immediately heard the flint stones running sound effect." One more user jokingly wrote, "This what happens when you buy your wigs from shein." Another user compared Akon's hair to a durag and tweeted, "It looks like he has just the top of a durag grafted to the top of his head." A user trolled the singer and wrote, "Akon must be buying his fake hair from the same place as Tory Lanez… Very poor craftsmanship" One user used their wisdom and wrote, "This is why you have to picture check first before you let somebody post something of you lol."
