But with a brand new movie coming soon, we cannot wait to see the hilarity that ensues with James Roday, Dulé Hill, Timothy Omundson, and Maggie Lawson share screen space in 'Psych 2: Lassie Come Home'.
After the first movie 'Psych: The Movie', which released on December 7, 2017, it was announced in 2019 that the second movie will be coming out soon. Apart from the series regular, Allison Miller, Sarah Chalke, Kadeem Hardison, and Richard Schiff join the cast.
Here is everything you need to know about the movie that brings back the magical, hilarious camaraderie of James Roday and Dulé Hill.
Release date
'Psych 2: Lassie Come Home' will not be premiering on the network as the franchise has all this while. It will instead premiere on NBCU's streaming service Peacock, which is not going to go live until April 2020. When official release dates are announced, MEA WorldWide will update this article.
Plot
'Psych 2: Lassie Comes Home' teases to follow an Alfred Hitchcock model of storytelling. Just before the first movie, Omundson has suffered a stroke which rendered him unable to work on the movie and could only manage a cameo. The second movie begins with him recovering from the stroke in a clinic. He soon begins to see unnatural, impossible happenings around the clinic.
Shawn and Gus then return to help Lassie in Santa Barbara, forcing them to confront the professional, personal and the supernatural. "Separated from their new lives in San Francisco, Shawn and Gus find themselves unwelcome in their old stomping grounds as they secretly untangle a twisted case without the benefit of the police, their loved ones or the quality sourdough bakeries of the Bay Area. What they uncover will change the course of their relationships forever."
