We are midway the second season of 'Project Blue Book' and a lot is at stake for Dr J Allen Hynek (Aidan Gillen) with his involvement with the UFO investigations and the man in black, William, FKA Unseen.

With the promotional teaser for the soon-to-be-airing Episode 5 'The Men in Black', we find out Hynek has embarked on yet another secret investigation, but this time, there's something about the way he talks to Mimi over a phone call that makes us feel he's not out there voluntarily. True, we do see William in the teaser clip, and he has appeared plenty of times before to suggest that Hynek wouldn't mind walking into the sunset, stealing some more alien artifacts for him.

But at the same time, this man listening to the conversation Hynek has with Mimi makes it obvious that the tapping is to make sure Hynek doesn't give away more than he is allowed to, and that brings us to the unavoidable question. Is Hynek in danger?

The clip shows Hynek calling Mimi from an airbase, asking her to apologize to their son Joel on his behalf as he has had to leave town again. When Mimi asks where is it this time, Hynek shuts her off saying he isn't allowed to share everything with her. But he does add that he is out chasing one of his crazy theories again and the immediate changes in Mimi's expressions along with Hynek constantly looking over his shoulder to check is William is still listening to their conversation through a parallel line smells fishy.

Hynek also tells Mimi that he loves her, and asks her to kiss Joel goodnight for him, something that is obviously not a signature thing for him to do. This propelled fans into assuming that the couple is talking in a secret code and Hynek might really be in danger, using codewords to urge Mimi to help. Taking it to Twitter, a fan remarked: "He sent a code that Unseen (William) won't catch because it's a normal parent thing except I'm sure Joel is of the age. "Dad, goodnight kisses are for GIRLS!" so he no longer does it and I bet Mimi is calling up Quinn after she hangs up!"

Expressing how this was the lowest hanging fruit to indicate the Hynek's are speaking in code, another fan commented: "After an amazing remote viewing scene last week, they treat us like we’re dummies with GIANT NEON ARROWS THAT MIMI KNOWS HYNEK IS IN TROUBLE. AND IN CASE YOU SOMEHOW COULDN’T TELL, HYNEK IS TALKING IN CODE!"

Well, codewords or not, there's nothing even remotely sunshine and blissful about this new adventure Hynek seems to have landed himself in. And whatever William has in mind for Hynek, things don't really look good for our beloved skeptic astrophysicist.

'Project Blue Book' Season 2 airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm only on History.
