This article contains spoilers for Season 2 Episode 4: 'Hopkinsville'

On Episode 4 of 'Project Blue Book', Dr J Allen Hynek and Captain Michael Quinn are investigating the mysterious Hopkinsville sightings of 1956 where a family claimed they were attacked by 'little green men'. And for all the bizarre events that go down in this episode, from Susie Miller getting buried alive to Mimi Hynek putting her investigative cap on and the man in the hat returning right at the end of the episode, what has really managed to excite fans is how we all need a Hynek in our lives.

In a single episode, Hynek went from debunking UFO sightings to analyzing Captain Quinn's deepest desires and worst tragedies. Taking their surprise to Twitter, a fan shared: "Where can I get a Hynek? Guy knows how to read people." And in that one scene where Hynek and Quinn have their heart to heart and Hynek psychoanalyzes Quinn's woes enough for the air force officer to open up to him about the new romance in his life, a fan noted how Hynek's smug confidence at reading people is what makes him so special.

"Love the incredibly cocky, assessing look Hynek gave Quinn after he said 'What else do you know about me?' Love a man with the confidence to pry into his alien-chasing partner's psyche," wrote a fan, while others noted how he and Quinn's usual banter is like an old married couple bickering. In one scene, Quinn can be seen to have brought a tin of snacks for each of them on their trip to Hopkinsville and Hynek was slightly unimpressed by how Quinn ate an entire tin all by himself. "Hynek's 'Did you just eat that whole tin?!' is peak Old Married Couple bickering," noted the fan.

But speaking of married couple bickering, we thought we were almost on the verge of an explosive Hynek-Mimi squabble in the middle of the episode, with him hiding details of the project from Mimi and her running into him while on her secret investigation into Hopkinsville. But instead, Hynek gave us new goals and looked almost pleased with the way Mimi has braved odds and put two plus two together to help him debunk the entire claim of the sightings. Noting his pride in Mimi's investigative skills, a fan gushed: "I think Hynek is slightly impressed with Mimi." Another remarked: "Oh, Hynek's not even mad! Look at that little smile- he's not-so-secretly pleased Mimi's here."

'Project Blue Book' Season 2 airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm only on History.
