'Project Blue Book' Season 2 fans want a Susie-Mimi love fest not a dreary 'forced' romance angle with Quinn

While the Susie and Mimi chapter seems to be closed, fans are less than pleased about the prospect of having a Quinnsie romance 'shoved down their throat'

Spoiler alert for 'Project Blue Book' Season 2

Season 2 of History's alien and UFO drama 'Project Blue Book' presented fans with a possible love triangle.

The teasing run of a prospective Mimi Hynek and Susie romance in Season 1 had the chemistry between the married woman and the undercover Russian spy leaving us all begging for more.

However, things ended with Susie eventually looking at Captain Michael Quinn to be her next pawn to retrieve top-secret information about US weapons of mass destruction.

And as season 2 commenced, the Quinn and Susie romance has been highlighted more than even a smidge of a mention of Susie and her friendship with Mimi. But while that chapter seems to be closed, fans are less than pleased about the prospect of having a Quinnsie romance "shoved down their throat".

The latest Episode 3 of Season 2, titled 'Area 51' ends with Susie's boss or a possible authority figure, telling her that she has borrowed enough time and should hand over Quinn — the man she has developed an insanely recent and steamy romance with — to the Russians.

This comes after almost every episode so far ending with traces of Quinn and Susie either about to engage in physical intimacy or basking in the sheer joy of having engaged in the same.

And it's almost unfair how there's not even a mention of Susie's past with Mimi until the very end of 'Area 51', where her boss Daria tells her to wean off the attractive wife of Dr J Allen Hynek — who was a useless lead, to begin with.

Right at that moment, one glance at Susie's fallen expression makes it clear that her feelings for Mimi haven't evaporated in a jiffy. It's also obvious to fans how forced everything between Susie and Quinn is because they have seen the potential that a Susie-Mimi bond portrayed.

And this absolute sidetracking has them pissed for obvious reasons, ranting on Twitter about how they returned to watch Season 2 "expecting at least one mimi and susie scene but no, we got susie and quinn instead."

Getting aggressive, another fan tweeted: "I'm just saying now that if the new season of project blue book forces susie and quinn (even tho she's hella lesbian and I don't quinn hurt) I'm going to RIOT."

As for a third fan who took a more assive way of pointing out how Quinnsie couldn't even try to come close to what Susie and Mimie were because right from the start, "Susie has been tender and sincere to Mimi and how fierce and ruthless to everyone except Mimi. Let's go lesbian."

Here's hoping fans' prayers are answered! 'Project Blue Book' Season 2 airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm only on History.
