Priscilla Presley and Lisa Marie were estranged over late star's ex Michael Lockwood before her death
CALABASAS, CALIFORNIA: Priscilla Presley and her daughter Lisa Marie were not on speaking terms prior to Lisa Marie's death on January 12, several sources have revealed. Although they were seen together at various events, including the Elvis biopic, mother and daughter had a strained relationship. The reason for the tension was Lisa Marie's custody battle with her ex-husband Michael Lockwood over twins Harper and Finley. Priscilla sided with Michael during the court proceedings, which angered Lisa Marie. This also angered also Lisa Marie's daughter Riley Keough, who is currently in a legal battle with her grandmother over her late mother's will.
According to sources, Riley was upset that her grandmother and Michael flew to the funeral together and that Michael was allowed to attend the ceremony even though he was not invited. Lisa Marie's last wishes were apparently disregarded by Priscilla, who allowed Michael in. In 2019, Lisa Marie amended her trust, removing Priscilla and her former manager as co-trustees and naming Riley and her late son Benjamin Keough as heirs. Her will also included the Graceland mansion and a 15 per cent interest in Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Lisa Marie Presley: Unending Tragedy
An explosive documentary titled 'TMZ Investigates Lisa Marie Presley: Unending Tragedy' looks into the life and death of the superstar heir, shedding new light on her alleged drug abuse, rapid weight loss and suspicious insurance policies. The film also looks at allegations of fraud and a "money grab" surrounding Presley's estate. According to producer Jacob Wasserman, a family feud is simmering between Presley's ex-husbands Danny Keough and Michael Lockwood over custody of Presley's twin children. The two men reportedly despise each other, and sources claim their bitter conflict could soon escalate into litigation.
Although she inherited $100 million from her father, Elvis Presley, she was reportedly "debt" due to bad investments and extravagant spending habits. The documentary claims that before her death, Presley took out several life insurance policies and left $35 million to be divided among her three children. Shockingly, Presley's estate had a sudden influx of cash on the day of her death, despite being $4 million in debt, including $2.5 million to IRS.
