Prince William's adorable moment comforting daughter Charlotte, 7, at Commonwealth Games wins hearts

The little princess was snapped looking tired and with her head resting on her hands as the day progressed

Saying that Prince William is the new age ideal dad will be an understatement. The Duke of Cambridge was the epitome of dad goals when he was seen comforting his daughter Charlotte at the Commonwealth games.

Accompanied by the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, Prince William recently enjoyed the action in swimming, hockey, and gymnastics with his 7-year-old daughter, who showcased her royal antics at the event.

Charlotte won over the hearts of royal fans as she made her first royal engagement without the company of her brothers George, nine, and Louis, four. The gorgeous little princess enjoyed her time at the event and even shook hands with dignitaries while flaunting her shiny wide smile for photographs.

As the day progressed and Princess Charlotte seemed to get restless, the love of her doting father seemed to keep her on her best behavior. Prince William assured his little princess with mushy cuddles and small gestures of affection, like playing with her hair and holding her hands.

The Cambridges spent a busy day at the games as they started their morning by enjoying swimming and visiting the events participated by rising young athletes. The morning of the royal family concluded with settling in to watch England's women's hockey team making their way to the semi-final of the CWC 2022.

But it seems like a hectic sports day was a little too much for the little princess as she was snapped looking tired and with her head resting on her hands. Luckily, Prince William was on hand to comfort his daughter. The Duke was seen moving Charlotte’s hair behind her ears while whispering some magical words to her. For the sports day, Charlotte adorned a £44 striped Rachel Riley dress.

The heart-warming gestures of Prince William melted the hearts of the netizens. Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on May 2, 2015 in Paddington, London. As the second child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, she is fourth in line to the throne. She will be formally known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
