'He truly loves Harry': Prince William 'IN MOURNING' over strained relationship with brother
'He alternates between grieving for what he has lost and feeling really, really angry about what his brother has done,' said a source
Prince William is 'in mourning' over the strained relationship he shares with his brother Prince Harry. He feels alternating emotions of anger and sadness as he wonders 'about what his brother has done' based on a report published on Friday, June 17. An excerpt from Daily Mail's Mail + read, "He alternates between grieving for what he has lost and feeling really, really angry about what his brother has done.”
This statement is from a series of in-depth articles that will be published on Prince William's birthday and the entire week. It was also stated that these feelings surfaced only when William realised that Kate did not meet Meghan and Harry when they were in the United Kingdom for the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations two weeks ago.
As seen, it seems like the Sussexes were almost entirely airbrushed out of the grand celebration. They were banned from standing on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace alongside the Queen for the Trooping of the Color ceremony that celebrates her birthday. They left the country in their private jet right before the Queen made a final balcony appearance on the final day of celebratory events of the jubilee.
It is a well-known fact that Prince William and Harry used to be so close to each other that they completed each other's sentences. Looking at the friction and drift between the two inseparable brothers now is disheartening. This rift was noticed by the public eye when William and Kate made a public appearance in Cardiff with their kids instead of being present at Harry and Meghan's daughter's first birthday party.
Reportedly, over the past two weeks this strain in the brothers' relationship is as bad as it has ever been. William has been finding it impossible to forgive Harry for spilling royal family secrets in the interviews and media appearances he has been part of ever since he moved to California with his wife.
An unnamed source who calls themself William's friend said, "He truly loves Harry and feels he has lost the only person, aside from his wife, who understood this strange life of theirs. But he believes there are things you just don’t do. And Harry has 100 percent crossed that line." Another added, "William is very principled and believes Harry has crossed a line. He’s thrown accusation after accusation, knowing that silence is the family’s only option because they don’t want to get dragged into a public slanging match. He sees how upset his father has been by it all, and it hurts. William is absolutely allergic to drama, but Harry has ensured that their family laundry is being aired on a global scale.”
A third said, "Harry always had concerns about life within the Royal Family and in hindsight, the pressure that was put on him and William by living and working together as some sort of dynamic duo put massive strain on their relationship. They had no room to breathe. But Meghan complicated it. He [Harry] got drawn into a space where he was encouraged to think he was a victim and had to flee.”
