Prince Harry SNUBS Camilla days afer she's named future Queen Consort, praises mom Diana
Prince Harry had a video chat with rugby star Gareth Thomas to mark National HIV Testing Week, where he pledged to follow his mother’s path and continue doing her “unfinished” work to fight the disease. However, he did not comment on his stepmother Camilla becoming the Queen Consort. During the call, the Duke of Sussex urged people of the UK to “go and get a test”.
Harry was speaking from his Montecito mansion in California, where he now lives with his wife Meghan Markle and two kids — Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The 37-year-old said while referring to Lady Diana, “I could never fill her shoes, especially in this particular space, but because of what she did and what she stood for and how vocal she was about this issue… it's a converging of all these different pieces. There's a way out of it, and if there's a way out of it and we know there's a solution, I'm like a typical guy. I just want to help fix things.”

Prince Harry slammed as he opens up about BURNOUT: 'He's never done a hard day's work'
When Thomas asked Harry what made him passionate about raising awareness about the illness, he said, “Once you get to meet people and you see the suffering around the world, I certainly can't turn my back on that. Then add in the fact that my mum's work was unfinished, I feel obligated to try and continue that as much as possible.”
Harry went on to say: “Every single one of us has a duty, or at least an opportunity, to get tested ourselves or to make it easier for everybody else to get tested. And then it just becomes a regular thing like anything else. This testing week, especially in the UK, or wherever you are in the world, go and get a test. Let people know that you know your status. Do it.”
Harry also praised his late mother, who lost her life in a car crash in 1997, and added: “What my mum did and so many other people did at that time was to smash that wall down, and kick the door open and say, 'No, when people are suffering, then we need to learn more.’ I've seen huge change. People are able and happy to talk about HIV so much more openly, but the stigma still exists and therefore the testing is still a problem.”
Thomas also spoke about HIV and revealed he found himself positive in 2019. The 47-year-old disclosed his daily medical routine and stated: “At 6 am, every single day, my alarm goes off. I take my HIV medication which is one tablet, and I feel that my day then begins,” before adding: “The sooner you find out if you're positive then the sooner you can start treatment. If you leave it too late, then it can have circumstances that are irreplaceable, irreparable.”
However, during the whole conversation, Harry did not talk about the Queen’s latest announcement regarding Camilla. The Queen celebrated her platinum jubilee as a monarch recently and issued a statement saying, “When, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.”
Harry’s recent chat has attracted a lot of attention online with many slamming him. A user tweeted, “What was the point of doing this Zoom call, this very week? May be because is brother is on a Royal Tour in Dubai.” Another one said, “He needs to stop using his mothers memory for fame and money!” “If he is serious about that, instead of ‘urging people’ to do what he says, he should get a bit more information on the topic. According to the National AIDS Trust, the UK has met (and exceeded) the UNAIDs 90-90-90 targets for 2020. More here: https://nat.org.uk/about-hiv/hiv-statistics,” the third one added.
