Prince Harry to have 'intimate' public conversation with controversial trauma expert Gabor Mate
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prince Harry is considering sitting with trauma expert Gabor Mate for an ‘intimate’ public conversation. The controversial Holocaust survivor has, in the past, compared Hamas terrorists to those who rose from the Warsaw ghetto uprising. As per multiple reports, the 79-year-old will interview Prince Harry over a live-streamed discussion on Saturday, March 4.
In a 2014 article published for Toronto Star, he wrote, “The Palestinians use tunnels? So did my heroes, the poorly armed fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto.” Mate even defended the Palestinians' rocket firing at Israeli civilians in the same piece, “Out of impotent defiance, they fire inept rockets, causing terror for innocent Israelis but rarely cause physical harm.” The Hungarian-Canadian expert called the Israeli government a terrorist organization during the 2021 Gaza conflict. In a live stream broadcast, he said, “nothing compared to the terrorism of the Israeli government”, alleging that the State of Israel plans to take over the entire land of ‘biblical Palestine’ beyond the Jordan, reports JC.com.

'Gaza is 'the world’s largest outdoor prison'
Mate didn’t stop there. During his appearance on Russell Brand’s podcast, he slammed Israel again and said, “It’s the longest ethnic-cleansing operation in the 20th and 21st centuries. It’s still going on.” He also called Gaza “the world’s largest outdoor prison.” Mate also got the attention of many by talking positively about ex-Pink Floyd musician Roger Waters whom one of his former colleague’s wife described as “antisemitic to [his] rotten core”.
Prince Harry and Mate will address “living with loss and the importance of personal healing.” This is amid Harry’s memoir, Spare, which gives detailed accounts of his struggle and pain following the death of his mother Princess Diana. Mate, during a conversation with Aaron in November 2019, spoke about “the misuse of antisemitism.” He came in defense of disgraced former labor leader Corbyn and said, “You also point out just how manipulative it is to call Corbyn an antisemite…So Corbyn goes to this rally where this Jewish person speaks and Corbyn is accused of being an antisemite because he’s present when a Jew criticizes or points out similarities between the ghettoization of Gaza and the ghettoization of Jews.”
Who is Gabor Mate?
Holocaust survivor Gabor Mate was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1944 at a time when the industrial murder of Jews was reported all over Europe. He lost his maternal grandparents even before he turned six months old and his mother left him in the care of a stranger in order to save his life. Mate's father was a forced laborer for Nazis and his family migrated to Canada in 1956 where he pursued medicine, specializing in addiction and trauma.
