Prince Harry absolutely trashes Camilla on '60 Minutes', says 'she sacrificed me on personal PR altar'

As she campaigned to marry Charles, Harry accused Camilla of displaying an 'open willingness' to sell information to the press

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA:  Prince Harry's portrayal of his stepmother Camilla, who is currently the Queen Consort, in his most recent book, 'Spare', is maybe the most critical. Despite having been romantically connected on and off for years, she married the then-Prince Charles in 2005. Prince Harry has never forgotten that Princess Diana once referred to Camilla as the "third person" in her marriage. In his final TV interview of the evening, he has now referred to Queen Camilla as "dangerous."

In the new interview aired on Sunday, January 8 night ahead of the book’s release on Tuesday, January 10, the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex also said that "there was going to be bodies left in the street" as his stepmother ascended to the position of Queen Consort on CBS's '60 Minutes', as reported by The Sun.

When asked why he described Camilla, 75, as dangerous in ‘Spare’, Harry responded, "Because of the need for her to rehabilitate her image. That made her dangerous because of the connections that she was forging within the British press." He claimed that since she was “on the way to being Queen Consort, there was going to be people or bodies left in the street because of that.” Harry, called himself ‘one of those bodies’. Among other claims, the Duke of Sussex claimed that his father and Camilla have been exploiting William and him to gain favorable tabloid coverage for themselves. Camilla "sacrificed me on her personal PR altar," Prince Harry writes, as reported by CBS News.

He repeated charges that Camilla was the "other woman", adding: "She was the villain. She was the third person in their marriage. She needed to rehabilitate her image,” Prince Harry said doubling down on his incendiary claims. In the interview, he even declared that both he and Prince William ‘didn’t think it was necessary’ that King Charles marry Camilla. “We thought that it was gonna cause more harm than good, and if he was now with his person, that— surely that's enough. Why go that far when you don't necessarily need to?,” he shared. On being asked about how they gave in to the decision, he said, “We wanted him to be happy. And we saw how happy he was with her. So, at the time, it was, 'OK.'"

As usual, people were quick to turn to their social media, with one tweeting, "Camilla talked about Diana and Charles’ marriage to the press for 10 YEARS FROM 1982-1992, EVERY WEEK so that she can hide her relationship with Charles. That woman had always been evil. And not as media shy people thought she is." Another commented, "It seems to me he’s using family as a ploy to make positive PR for him and his wife. Does that make him a villain too? I don’t see a difference. There may be one, but I don’t see it." A third chimed in, "The fact that people are in the comments defending Camilla after everything she did - and who has been miraculously rehabbed in the press while MM who did nothing wrong is more hated than her or Andrew proves every word Harry said. Diana deserved better from y’all." A fourth gave his views saying, "Conclusion: Harry and Meghan can't stand anyone higher ranked then themselves. Harry wants to be the King."
