Harry, Meghan threaten legal action over paparazzi photos of her carrying Archie while walking her dogs in Canada

Prince Harry has been in war with the paparazzis ever since the 1997 death of his mother Diana, and it doesn't look like it's ending anytime soon

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are already in loggerheads with the media, just days after they moved to their new home in Canada's Vancouver Island, over pictures of the latter that were splashed across certain outlets in the U.K.

The Sussexes, along with their son Archie, moved out of their Windsor home following their split from the royal family,  with Harry explaining in a speech at a private dinner in London for his charity Sentebale on Sunday that the "powerful force" of the media in his home country was partly responsible.

If the expectation of their move to Canada was to suffer less paparazzi intrusion, then they were in for a rude shock almost immediately as pictures of Meghan taking a stroll at a local park with Archie, her two dogs, and two bodyguards found their way into the front page of multiple publications.

The snaps were reportedly taken by photographers who were lurking the park's bushes.  Now the couple's lawyers have threatened legal action them claiming that the pictures were taken without the Duchess of Sussex's consent.

In a letter, they described the photographers' actions as "harassment," adding that "there are serious safety concerns about how the paparazzi are driving and the risk to life they pose."

The lawyers also said these new photos were part of a general, overarching trend of "unacceptable" paparazzi behavior that has been seen before. The photographers even attempted to click the couple inside their home using long-range lenses.

It is not the first time that they have threatened action either. Last October, Harry, and Meghan revealed a lawsuit against 'The Mail' for misuse of private information, among other claims, after they took aerial photographs of their UK based Cotswolds holiday home that forced them to move out.

They eventually won not only a substantial amount in damages but also an apology from the outlet (The Mail) on Sunday, though that didn't stop Harry from releasing a scathing statement slamming the media for their "ruthless campaign" against his wife in October 2019.

He drew parallels between his situation and that of his mother Diana, who was killed in a car crash following a high-speed pursuit of her car through Paris by photographers in 1997, writing, "I've seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces."
