Social media users have urged Meghan Markle to seek professional help from a nanny after pictures making the rounds appeared to show her holding her son Archie in a seemingly uncomfortable position.

The Duchess of Sussex, 38, was snapped looking happy and in good spirits, as she took a walk in the woods a few miles away from her's and Prince Harry's oceanfront home on Canada's Vancouver Island with Archie and her two dogs, a beagle named Guy and a black labrador.

Even as the Megxit drama continues to unfold thousands of miles away in the UK, Meghan seemed unbothered and was sporting a wide smile for the paparazzi, though the reception she got online was less than warm.

Many users were displeased at the way she was carrying Archie, with the eight-month-old being held awkwardly in a sporty $180 (£154) Ergo 360 Omni Baby Carrier.

"Can someone encourage #meghanmarkle to seek advice regarding safe #babywearing - she needs to ensure #archie is supported correctly," one user wrote.

"What the hell is going on here?" a second tweeted. "That kid is dangling like a rag doll-key word DOLL-it’s leg is swinging like a pendulum."

Some of the users went so far as to suggest that she was using the carrier incorrectly and might need help on how to use it the proper way. "Please someone show Meghan how a baby carrier is used correctly before poor little Archie drops," they posted.

According to the Ergo brand website, the carrier can be worn in four different ways depending on the baby's age and the mother's preference. In this particular case, it looked like the strap may have slipped from Meghan's right shoulder, leaving her no choice but to hold Archie across the back for extra support.

Besides the baby carrier, Meghan was also sporting a $98 Lululemon 'Align' leggings, a form-fitting navy zip-up, and a knit beanie, as well as Canadian brand Kamik's $160 'Sienna' boots that she used to frequently wear before her engagement to Prince Harry.

Harry, who was in the UK for crisis talks to finalize his and Meghan's split from the royal family, flew to Vancouver on January 20 so he could be with his wife and child, though he did make an appearance at the UK-Africa Investment Summit before departing.
