Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have donated $5,000 in the name of their children Archie and Lilibet to a GoFundMe campaign. The charity was established in honor of the LA-based Zajfen family, who sadly lost their nine-year-old boy, George.

Kelly McKee Zajfen, 42, announced the tragic passing of her little child on Instagram, adding that she will make an effort to continue living for the sake of George's twin sister.

She captioned the Instagram post: "My sweet baby boy. My world is shattered into a million pieces. I have little ability to breathe. Walk. Function. Sit. Stand. You were the light of my life. Your smile made the room so bright and your heart was the most perfect and sweetest."

"You left this Earth and left behind so many people who loved you. I don’t know how I’m able to go on. How I can function. How I can be the light and have joy ever again but I’m going to try. Try hard for your beautiful twin sister. I can’t comprehend any of it," she added.

Kelly is a former model and a businesswoman. She is the co-founder of an organization called Alliance of Moms, whose goal is to assist youths who are pregnant or already parenting and are enrolled in the foster care system in LA. Their main objective is to create a better future for both the children and the mothers. She also owns a line of environmentally friendly children's clothes called Little Minis.

Although it remains unclear how the royals are related to her, Meghan's ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, and his wife, Tracey Kurland, also gave the bereaved family $1,000, raising the possibility that they were formerly close friends.

In order to assist the bereaved family with funeral preparations and whatever else the Zajfen family may need while moving from this loss, close friend Kate Jefferson decided to organize the fundraiser, which has now been closed.

On the GoFundMe page, she previously wrote: 'My name is Kate and I’m raising funds for the Zajfen family so that they may grieve the loss of their sweet angel boy, George. He was the happiest, kindest boy that walked the earth. George’s heart was compassionate, his smile contagious, and his love for his twin sister and parents was palpable. This unexpected loss is beyond devastating, and the Zajfen family will need time to even begin to heal. No parent should lose a child, and no child should have to endure the loss of their twin. Our hearts are broken for Kelly, Julian, Lily, and their entire family. The pain that their friends and online community feels is immense, and we want to help unburden the Zajfen family in any way that we can while George’s funeral and celebration of life are being planned. Kelly and Julian are two of the most giving, philanthropic humans, and now it is our time to give back to them."

The GoFundMe page has now been disabled since the Zajfen family has asked donors to make donations directly to Children's Hospital Los Angeles in George's honor. Now, the page says: "The generosity and kindness you have all demonstrated in response to this page has been overwhelming and beautiful. Please know that the Zajfen family did not ask for this page to be started. Instead, they have been asking people who wish to make donations in honor of George to do so to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. "

It also mentions that 100% of the funds raised by the GoFundMe page are being donated to the hospital in George's honor.

"This page is in the process of being closed and anyone who has come here to make a donation is urged to make donations to Children’s Hospital in George’s honor," it adds, along with the link to the donation page.

The GoFundMe page has collected a total of $58,850 until now.
