Prince Harry wipes away tears at Queen's coffin after emotional procession, royal fans hope he 'finds peace'
LONDON, UK: When Queen Elizabeth II's coffin arrived at Westminster Hall on September 14, Prince Harry was observed wiping away tears after a melancholy journey from Buckingham Palace. During the Queen's march to Westminster Hall at the House of Parliament, where her corpse will lie in state until her funeral on Monday, September 19, the Duke of Sussex showed signs of grief.
The 38-year-old prince, who was accompanied by King Charles III, William, Prince of Wales, and other senior royals, received his late grandmother's coffin on Wednesday at Buckingham Palace. Prince Harry joined his father and brother as they made their way on foot to the Palace of Westminster in order to escort the coffin. Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and Kate, Princess of Wales, travelled separately in cars to Westminster Hall to join the royal mourners.

The royal family assembled in the Hall after the coffin was transported, and the Archbishop of Canterbury led a brief memorial ceremony for the Queen. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted standing behind the Prince and Princess of Wales during the service. Prince Harry wore a morning suit decorated with medals after he was banned from wearing military regalia to the ceremony despite completing two tours of Afghanistan. A photo of Harry wiping his tear from his eye as he paid his respects to the Queen has gone viral and people are expressing their sympathy for the prince.
A person tweeted, "Our thoughts are with you Harry. Peace be with you." Another user sending him hugs wrote, "Under all of this, he's just a young man who misses his gran. You could see the deep affection they had for each other when they did the Invictus Games clip. Big hugs to him." "My heart breaks for H. Losing one of the main women in his life is so hard," another individual wrote. "Oh Prince Harry. Sending virtual hugs," one individual tweeted while another added, "It just reminded me of that poor wee boy walking along behind his dead mums coffin. Poor fella."

Similarities between the image of Prince Harry wiping away his tears and another painful funeral the royal witnessed of his mother Diana, the Princess of Wales, have been highlighted. When his mother died in a car accident in Paris, France, in 1997, the young prince was just 12 years old. Prince Harry and Prince William also stood next to one another when their mother's coffin travelled through the streets of London nearly 25 years ago, similar to the Queen's procession on Wednesday, September 14.
One individual shared a glimpse of then and now tweeted, "Then and Now Prince William and Prince Harry walking behind Queen Elizabeth's coffin as well as walking behind their mother Princess Diana's coffin." This other individual highlighting similar moments from his mother's passing wrote, "This image speaks volumes. From his mother, Princess Diana's death and now his Grandmother's death, Queen Elizabeth II. I hope Prince Harry finds peace😢."

One person tweeted, "no doubt this walk will be extremely difficult for harry, when 25 years ago he was walking this route behind the coffin of his mother. I’m glad he has Meghan by his side to support him through this, because 12 year old prince harry never had that type of support system 💔."
