'Peace be with you': Pierce Brosnan happily reveals name of fourth grandchild as son Sean becomes dad again
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'James Bond' star Pierce Brosnan ecstatically announced the birth of his fourth grandchild on social media. Despite already becoming a grandfather two decades ago, the 69-year-old actor is still excited about the role, barely concealing his happiness as he took to Instagram to announce the birth of his newest grandson, Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan.
"Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan, born 3:06pm 11/12/22… all good blessings to you my dearest grandson, welcome. Congratulations my darling Sean, Sanja and Marley. Peace be with you," he captioned the sweet photos of his newborn grandchild. Jaxxon is the son of Sean Brosnan and Sanja Banic, Pierce's son and daughter-in-law, who also have a seven-year-old daughter, Marley.

The adorable photos have also melted the hearts of Brosnan’s fans, who immediately flocked to the comment section to shower the actor with congratulatory messages. "Congrats! Holiday babies are the best. They make us slow down and enjoy the snuggles a little more," commented a fan. Another shared the sentiment saying, "Congratulations on the birth of your new grandson. Unmatched happiness."
A third added, "Congratulations to all!!!! Welcome to the world little one," while another said, "Congratulations to you all. He’s absolutely gorgeous. I hope mum and baby are doing well. Sending love from the UK."
According to the Daily Mail, in addition to Marley and Jaxxon, Brosnan has two other grandchildren, Isabella, 24, and Lucas, 17, through his late daughter Charlotte, who tragically died of ovarian cancer in 2013, the same disease that claimed the life of Cassandra Harris, Pierce’s first wife.
Following Charlotte's death, the actor released a statement that read, "On June 28 (2013) at 2 pm, my darling daughter, Charlotte Emily, passed on to eternal life, having succumbed to ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her husband Alex, children Isabella and Lucas, and brothers, Christopher and Sean. Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humility, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl."
Brosnan previously spoke about the pride he felt as a grandfather in an interview with The Herald in 2015. "I'm a proud grandfather now. There's still a lot of life in the old man, and I'll keep going till I can go no more. Life is so precious," he said at the time. "It can be snatched away without any prior warning, so why waste it? That's why I enjoy my wonderful, beautiful family, my children and my grandchildren," the actor added.
