The 26-year-old is not just famous for his NBA career but also for his relationship with Kendall Jenner, which ended in October 2022. However, people lost it when a photo of Ortega and Booker together was shared online, claiming they were a thing. The picture immediately garnered more than 16 million views.

It also received loads of comments, such as “All 280 characters of pure pain,” “I can’t keep up. I thought he was dating one of the Kardashian plastic persons,” “This worse than 9/11,” and “It always looks weird when someone too tall dates someone too short. And i'm a foot taller than my wife. At least I recognize this issue.”

However, it soon became clear that the viral photo was a hoax started by the NBA parody account, Buttcrack Sports. To make it convincing, the Twitter page has used a TMZ watermark all over it, HITC reported. A Twitter handle, @TBEBrandon, shared two photos of the respective stars and noted, “Devin Booker @ Vogue World: September 2022 Jenna Ortega @ Red Carpet Fashion Awards: 09.03.23 Photoshopped.”

A user then commented, “I figured.” The second one wrote, “What a relief!” A third user mentioned, “Yep, I knew I’d seen that outfit before.” The fourth one said, “My talent from being a tumblr kid is seeing a photoshopped celeb photo from a mile away, clocked the jenna ortega and devin booker photo IMMEDIATELY.” “They let everyone get verified and now misinformation is hard to tell. almost believed Devin Booker was dating Jenna Ortega,” a tweet noted.

‘I am too obsessed with my work’

Ortega recently told Elle Magazine that she was not seeing anyone currently. ‘The Fallout’ star said, “Maybe I am too obsessed with my work, but the idea of relationships stresses me out. And also being that vulnerable with someone and having to get to know someone that well and having someone see you for all that you are...My brain knows that I don’t need to think about that right now.”

“I am so fearful of disappointing the people in my life, or even people in public. I want to live up to people’s expectations, which is something that I need to get over, but I’m also scared that, I don’t know, maybe someone will get to know me too well and realize that I’m not all that,” she added.
