Just as the group was enjoying the successful release of their last comeback on January 24 where they dropped their 12th mini-album ‘In:vite U’, Pentagon has some shocking news to share with fans. On February 10, Cube Entertainment reported that Yeo One (Yeo Chang-gu) of Pentagon was involved in a car accident. With no fault of its own, Yeo One’s car was hit by a drunk-driving car which led to Yeo One suffering from an immediate back injury.

Cube Entertainment announced that due to this incident, Yeo One will temporarily suspend all activities as he rests and recovers from the damage caused by the accident. Cube reported that Yeo One was hit by a car that was being driven by a drunk driver on the morning of February 9 as he was returning to the Pentagon dorms from his solo schedule. As his injury initially did not seem as concerning, Yeo One reported having continued his activities as per schedule only for him to be taken to the hospital hours later.

Pentagon’s Yeo One goes on hiatus after back injury from car crash

In their official statement, Cube Entertainment reported that instead of going to the hospital immediately, Pentagon’s Yeo One decided to continue his schedule after a discussion with his management based on his symptoms at that moment. Since Yeo One did not feel any immediate symptoms after the accident, he continued to shoot for his ongoing schedule for U+Idol Live’s original program ‘Adola School: Homecoming Day’ on the afternoon of February 9.

Cube announced that soon after the schedule ended, Yeo One complained of back pain while returning back to his dorms and immediately went to the hospital to receive the necessary medical treatment he would need. As Cube Entertainment’s main focus is to prioritize the health and safety of their artists, Yeo One will also halt his activities for the inevitable future as he recovers from the accident and gets back in shape. Cube also reported that until the return of Yeo One, Pentagon will continue to be promoted as a seven-member group for the time being.
