LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Paris Hilton is talking openly about understanding her sexuality before meeting her husband, Carter Reum. The 42-year-old heiress said that she had secretly believed she was asexual when she was dating in her 20s.

In her new book 'Paris: The Memoir' (out March 14), the billionaire heiress explores her past. The star explained that she didn't love having sex and would fake orgasms to stop her encounters when she was young.

'I thought orgasm was something faked'

In an exclusive extract from her new memoir published by Stellar Magazine, Paris said, "I could fake it, and I was good at faking it, but it felt like getting run over by a minibike a hundred times," she writes. "I thought orgasm was something faked so that sex could be over. I kept trying to make it work." Paris revealed she would keep her partners waiting for a long time before going all the way. "It was pretty rare for a guy to get past the make-out stage. Some of them waited for months or even a year"," she said.

"I was known as a sex symbol, but anything sexual terrified me," she shared, as per Harper's Bazaar. That made the 'Simple Life' star suspect that she might be asexual. "I called myself the 'kissing bandit' because I only liked to make out. A lot of my relationships didn't work out because of that," she said.

'I enjoy hooking up with my husband'

"It wasn't until Carter that I finally am not that way," she admitted. "I enjoy hooking up with my husband." Paris expressed her gratitude for having connected with Carter, saying, "I just feel like after all the hell I've been through, I'm finally getting what I deserve, which is someone I can trust and someone to build a real life with." The media star explained how Carter differs from her previous partnerships. "He's not famous. He's smart. He comes from a nice family. He's a good person," she revealed. "It was the opposite of what I had been used to when I was looking for guys."

The couple got married in November 2021 and recently had a baby boy. "It's always been my dream to be a mother and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other," the new mom shared with PEOPLE. "We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."
