The ongoing pandemic shows no signs of slowing down as 12 new K-pop idols tested positive for Covid-19 on March 22 alone. Five members of P1Harmony, who are currently touring in the US, tested positive for the virus. Besides, idols in South Korea like Stray Kids members Changbin, Han, Seungmin, Bang Chan, Hyunjin, and Lee Know have also tested positive during their ‘Oddinary’ comeback era with six out of eight members of the group sick so far.

EXID’s Solji has also reported testing positive and canceled her upcoming concert while one member of each of the boy groups GHOST9, Verivery, and Victon announced their respective hiatuses after testing positive for Covid-19. With so many idols testing positive around the same time, each of them has now announced their temporary hiatus as they take time to get better.

What comes as a shocker for P1eces (fans of P1Harmony) is that the boy group had to postpone the last five shows from their 2022 US Tour after many staff members as well as five out of six members of the group reported testing positive for Covid-19 mid-tour.

P1Harmony postpones upcoming shows due to Covid

SubKulture Entertainment, the FNC Entertainment subsidiary that manages the activities of P1Harmony, announced that members Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Soul, and Jongseob had all tested positive for Covid-19, leaving Intak as the only member of the group to not fall sick. On March 20, members of P1Harmony announced that they would postpone the remaining shows from their ‘2022 P1Harmony Live Tour - P1ustage H: Peach’ after several staff members also tested positive for Covid-19.

All members of the group took pre-emptive Covid-19 tests, which led to five of them testing positive. The group has postponed five shows from their ongoing US Tour that was supposed to be held in four different cities. The label announced that they are currently working on the postponement of these concerts, the first of which was supposed to be held on March 20 at Chicago’s Copernicus Center.

They have also postponed their March 23 Denver concert which was to be held at the Fillmore Auditorium, their March 25 San Jose concert which was supposed to be held at San Jose civic as well as two of their Los Angeles concerts slated for March 27 and 28 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel.

'Hoping for P1Harmony’s fast recovery'

While fans are hopeful for the speedy recovery of P1Harmony members, they are also angry with fans who interacted with the staff and members without wearing masks. One angry fan said, "Shoutout to everyone who went to the p1harmony concerts without a mask and positive for covid how selfish do you have to be so pull that shit. genuinely such awful behavior, ALL of the staff and members (minus intak) have it. they deserve better." One fan said, "Who ever gave p1harmony covid at the concert fu." Another wrote, "I hope everyone who went to the p1harmony concerts and "met" them gets covid tests."

One fan said, "I just woke up from an amazing dream where I met p1harmony and I had to wake up to the news they have covid I hate all the people who didn't wear masks for the concerts you all don't deserves p1harmony." Another said, "Hoping for p1harmony’s fast recovery. They worked so hard and was so excited for this whole tour. it just sucks to see it be ruined because some of y’all decided that it’s okay to go to concerts without your mask on, AND WHILE SOME OF Y’ALL HAVE COVID."
