LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Be it 25 or 40, motherhood doesn’t have to come with a time frame or terms and conditions. In the 21st century, more and more women are shattering the taboo that women should conceive at a certain age. Nevertheless, age shouldn't determine a woman's fertility, as much as people’s expectations doesn’t define someone’s decision.

Most women dread answering the question 'when are you going to have babies?', and even celebrities are no exception. Margot Robbie, the Australian actress admirably known for her roles in films such as 'The Wolf of Wall Street,' has publicly spoken about her personal plans for having kids. This comes after being repeatedly asked about her plans about childbirth

Robbie says yes to babies but later

The coveted star is currently working on 10 movies in total, including one about the famous Barbie doll. But, what makes people so interested in learning about her personal life rather than asking about her accomplishments? The 'I, Tonya' actress, who wed director Tom Ackerley in 2016, expressed her annoyance at people’s expectation that motherhood comes first right after marriage. "I recently got married, and the first query in nearly all interviews is Babies? When will you have one? The social compact infuriates me to no end," Robbie told RadioTimes.

From starring as Queen Elizabeth I in the film 'Mary Queen of Scots' to 'Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey,' Robbie has given commendable performances as a strong female lead. It doesn’t come as a surprise that she discussed how she founded her own production business, LuckyChap Productions, resulting from her unhappiness with the dearth of strong female characters. Thus, her annoyance at being asked about babies is no less than understandable.

Like mother like daughter

Robbie was raised in a family of four by a single mother. So she is not unfamiliar or doesn’t despise the concept of a family or kids. The actress claimed that although it was difficult for her mother, the latter overcame it and managed to keep everything in order. As seen by their participation in pursuits like boar hunting and surfing, Margot appears to have enjoyed an adventurous upbringing. Robbie and Ackerley first connected during the production of Michelle Williams' Second World War drama 'Suite Française,' which took place over ten years ago. After meeting in 2013, they began dating, and two years later, they tied the knot. In several interviews, she has recognized her husband as an ardent dog lover. "Three days ago my husband stopped by a dog shelter on the way back from the airport, and we now have a pitbull puppy," Margot told Porter Magazine.

Babies or not: Always at the top

What seems to be the catch; the couple is happily married with two dogs and do not see childbirth as their immediate step. Nevertheless, she indeed sees herself in a motherly figure 30 years in her future but currently her vision is set on her career, her two dogs and her husband. The decision to have children is a deeply personal one, and it's up to each individual and celebrity to make the choice that is right for them.
