Nowhere Bakery on 'Shark Tank': Cost and how to buy vegan, paleo, gluten-free, refined sugar-free baked goods
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA: Nowhere Bakery, a woman-founded and minority-owned company, is thrilled to be one of the developing brands chosen to exhibit at the ABCNowhere Bakery event.
In 'Shark Tank' Season 15, Maurizio and Saphira Rasti seek a Shark to bite into Nowhere Bakery, their "clean eating" baked products business.
There's nothing like a delicious chocolate chip cookie. For folks with dietary allergies and digestive difficulties, this treat may be more of a trick.
That is an issue that Nowhere Bakery is attempting to address with its own range of baked products. The firm sells cookies and brownies that are free of certain additives that bother dessert enthusiasts.
All of Nowhere Bakery's plant-based treats are free of refined sugar, dairy, and gluten, making them ideal for individuals with dietary problems. They are vegan and paleo-friendly.
Saphira and Maurizio, a married couple from Costa Mesa, California, founded this firm in 2020 to have a beneficial effect on the dessert industry. Mordor Intelligence estimates that the cookie business in the United States alone is worth more than $12 billion.
The pair hopes that 'Shark Tank' will help them take their business to the next level, but will any of the sharks want to bite into their bakery?
What is Nowhere Bakery?
In the ever-changing realm of culinary innovation, there is a sweet spot that is sometimes overlooked: the junction of enjoyment and health consciousness. Nestled in this region lies Nowhere Bakery, an award-winning supplier of guilt-free pastries launched in 2020 by the dynamic team of Maurizio and Saphira.
From humble beginnings in a tiny two-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles, this woman-founded and minority-owned firm has quickly grown to fame, enticing taste buds and hearts with its delightful offerings.
The story behind Nowhere Bakery is touching, and their cookies are excellent. Saphira and Maurizio began their relationship with a culinary love letter, fuelled by Saphira's history of food intolerances and digestive sensitivity, and Maurizio's insatiable sweet taste.
Frustrated by the paucity of delicacies they could share, the pair set out on a mission to develop decadent desserts that would meet Saphira's nutritional demands without sacrificing flavor. Hence, Nowhere Bakery was formed.
Nowhere Bakery's approach is centered on inclusion and excellence. Their creative approach to dessert-making is based on the conviction that everyone should be able to enjoy exquisite delights without fear of negative responses.
Their products, which include creamy almond butter, organic cassava flour, and organic dark chocolate chips sweetened with low-glycemic coconut sugar, are expertly crafted to meet a variety of dietary constraints.
Each batch is dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free, grain-free, and soy-free, and is kept and transported frozen, ensuring bakery-fresh texture and flavor with every mouthful.
In the crowded dessert scene, Nowhere Bakery stands out as a beacon of diversity, flavor, and excellence.
Maurizio and Saphira are revolutionizing the sweet treat experience one cookie at a time, thanks to their steadfast dedication to creating delectable treats that accommodate a wide range of dietary demands.
So, whether you're a wellness fanatic, a dietary-conscious eater, or simply a fan of exquisite flavor, Nowhere Bakery encourages you to enjoy without limits.
Who are the founders of Nowhere Bakery?
Saphira had serious gastrointestinal troubles in her early twenties, which led to persistent exhaustion, cognitive fog, anxiety, and several food intolerances. As the daughter of Naturopaths and alternative medicine instructors, she began to see a clear link between my declining health and the food she was putting into her body, with the support of my family.
Saphira was empowered by years of research and thought that others were battling in the same way she was. Determined to assist others who were going through similar challenges, she began sharing her experience, as well as the diet and lifestyle adjustments that helped heal me.
Saphira has a passionate following thanks to her blog, which includes topics such as gut-friendly foods, her favorite adaptogenic herbs, bloating solutions, and more.
Saphira and her spouse Maurizio (co-founder) are now married and share a love of sweets. Maurizio, who is resistant to food intolerances, and I, who are the polar opposite, couldn't agree on the day's dessert. The answer was obvious: she began to prepare desserts that appealed to Maurizio's tastes and her delicate stomach.
Saphira studied Fashion Business at the Melbourne School of Fashion from 2008-2009, including Marketing, Buying, SYOB, and Textiles. Then she earned a Diploma in Nutritional Medicine from Shaw University.
Saphira also studied Integrative Nutrition and Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Saphira began working for The Photo Studio Australia as a Sales Producer and Modeling Consultant for a year. Then she became CEO of NeuDayCo before departing in 2020.
She went on to work as a recipe developer/food stylist at Peanut Head for more than a decade.
Maurizio attended The Ohio State University, where he studied Business, Management, and Marketing. Before co-founding Nowhere Bakery with his wife, he worked as a Visionary for Incubate Pictures under contract.
What is the cost and how to buy Nowhere Bakery?
Nowhere Bakery currently serves a variety of delights. A 6-pack of these cookies is $36 with delivery or $68 for a 12-pack.
The brand offers candy bar cookies produced in partnership with nutritionist Rachael DeVaux. Other popular dishes served by Nowhere Bakery include brownies and blondies.
All of these things are available in 6-packs for $36, and 12-packs for $70. Nowhere Bakery is currently available at 75 cafés (mostly on the West Coast) and specialty supermarkets around the United States, and they also provide countrywide shipping via their web store and Amazon.
However, most of them are concentrated in California. A more cost-effective option may be to acquire the chocolate chip cookie mix, which is available on Amazon and the company's website.
A package of mix yields 15 cookies and costs around $15. A sugar cookie mixture is also available.
Local consumers may conveniently pick up orders at their Costa Mesa offices. Judge.me gives the firm an amazing 4.86 out of 5 stars based on over 1,800 reviews.
A customer wrote, "They don’t taste quite the same as when you buy them made, but still are delicious! And it comes with a very good amount. I’m the instructions say to divide them into 12 but I naught divide it more next time and make smaller cookies. I might also take a minute or two off the recommended baking time and then take them off the cookie sheet immediately to stop them from getting crispy."
While another person added, "We LOVE all the Nowhere Bakery baked goods!! Amazingly DELICIOUS! And we feel really good about the clean ingredients! Never had a better cookie!!"
Another user wrote, "I enjoyed trying everything. I originally placed the order to try Olivia's special collaboration cookie. It was really good, my only complaint was that the chocolate was really hard. I think I would enjoy the cookies better without the chocolate. My favorite cookie in the sample pack was one that is no longer available on your site. I think it was taken down for Shark Tank. It didn't have any chocolate in it. I also liked the tag."
A fourth person commented, "Best cookie tasted so far. Must try! It’s chewy and delicious."
Where is Nowhere Bakery now?
Nowhere Bakery just received a lot of attention after making its tradeshow debut at the famed 2023 Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. Nowhere Bakery, known for its clean-label sweet delicacies, rapidly acquired the nickname "The Cool Kids" of the dessert scene.
Their allergy-friendly cookies and brownies, made with gut-friendly, minimally processed ingredients and no refined sugars, have a dedicated fanbase, including health-conscious celebrities such as actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
Nowhere Bakery, chosen as one of ten new companies to exhibit at the Fancy Food Show, proudly represented the BIPOC community as part of a cohort devoted to promoting marginalized voices in the food and beverage industries. Their participation in the event was a watershed milestone in their career, indicating their desire to broaden their distribution beyond the West Coast and showcase their delightful delicacies to industry tastemakers and buyers.
The duo made no secret of their desire to expand outside the West Coast during the 2023 Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. They are most likely looking for a Shark to help them expand.
Who will steal the deal in 'Shark Tank' Season 15?
Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner both believe in clean eating, thus they would be the best Sharks for this venture, however, Barbara Corcoran has also had success with food products. Mark normally makes an offer for meals that he likes, thus flavor will be crucial to him.
The same goes with Lori. Kevin O'Leary, aka Mr Wonderful, often does not invest in food products, thus we believe he will not be making an offer.
We don't know if Jason Blum will invest or not.
'Shark Tank' Season 15, Episode 17, airs on ABC on Friday, March 15, at 8 pm ET. Catch the latest episode featuring products like Overplay, The Murder Mystery Company, Nourish + Bloom Market, and Nowhere Bakery.
