Darby takes shelter at a Visitors’ Centre that’s already filled with a handful number of people. However, things go upside down when Darby finds out a girl named Jay tied up in the back of a green van standing outside the visitors’ center. Darby goes inside and everyone else, except her, is now a suspect.
The other four other people present at the center are Ash (Danny Ramirez), Lars (David Rhysdahl), and a married couple Ed (Dennis Haysbert) and Sandi (Dale Dickey). So, who is the villain here? And why do they have a little girl tied up in the van? Let’s find out.
‘No Exit’ Ending Explained: Who was responsible for trafficking the child?
As soon as Darby enters the center, she believes that someone there is a dangerous criminal. Everyone sits at the table and plays a game with a pack of cards. Lars, who seems to be a bit mentally unstable, loses at his own game and gets really frustrated. Meanwhile, after the game, Darby goes to the washroom and makes a route to get out of the center to meet the girl in the van. She has a tool with her and she gets inside the car to free the girl.
However, it is revealed that the car belongs to Lars and he has kidnapped the girl named Jay (Mila Harris). Darby is hiding in the van and as soon as she thinks of attacking Lars with a cutter, she sees a gun on him and stops. Lars is unable to see her and gets out of the car. A few minutes later, Darby also comes and assures Jay that she will return to rescue her. She meets Ash in the washroom area and tells him about the kidnapped girl. Ash wants to take some action and wants to call the police, but they can't because of network problems.
Darby goes out again and enters the car. She talks to Jay, who reveals that there are two people involved. It turns out Ash is Lars’ partner and he is the one who kidnapped her. Ash reaches the car, however, by then, Darby has escaped. She reaches the visitors’ center by one of the routes and as soon as she entered the center, Ash confronts her and tells her not to say anything.
Meanwhile, Ed believes that there is something wrong going on here. He gets cautious when Darby and everyone else doesn’t return. As soon as they return, they sit back at the table and talk. But Jay has gotten out of the ropes and has come out of the car. She runs away and Ash follows her. He knows that she will never come to them so they take Darby’s help to call her. While searching for her, Darby manages to escape from them and rescues Jay. She brings her inside the retreat and locks the doors. Jay’s condition is worsening because she has a medical condition and needs her medicines immediately. Ash and Lars are outside and tell the people inside the retreat that they need the girl.
The duo tells Ed to give them the girl and they will go away. Ed tells them that it won’t happen. But they blackmail Sandi, the nurse, by saying that the little girl is ill and if she doesn’t get the medicines, she’ll die. Sandi tells Darby and Ed that the girl needs to go out, but they don’t send her out. Darby has the keys to their van and as soon as Ed gets to know that, he tells them that they need to give the medicines, and only then, they will give them the keys.
Ash and Lars go back to the car and bring back a gas can to set the building on fire. However, the little girl gets up and recognizes Sandi. Sandi is a maid who works for the family of the girl. It is revealed that the little girl is the daughter of rich parents and Sandi is working with Ash and Lars. Jay reveals that Sandi did nothing when the duo abducted her. The reason for doing that was their financial condition. Ed and Sandi lost their savings and Sandi had to do this for a huge sum of money.
Ed is disgusted by that and Darby tries to attack Sandi when she blinds her with pepper spray. Darby tells Sandi that she got catfished as Ash and Lars traffic little girls. The situation gets intense and Ash kills Ed by shooting him. Darby, on the other hand, tries to injure Ash but fails to do so. Ash kills Sandi as well.
In the end, Ash goes out in the snow to find the keys, while Darby makes a plan to use Jay to do something. Jay gets up and turns off the lights and that’s when Darby takes charge by taking away the gun from Lars. She tells Ash to drop the weapon from his hands. Jay attacks Ash’s hands and in the process, injures Lars. Ash gets emotional and starts taking care of Lars. Darby and Jay run away towards the car.
Lars has been hit by a big nail and it went straight in his forehead. Ash takes it out slowly when Lars falls on the ground and gets accidentally killed. Darby and Jay are about to run away in a car when Ash attacks the car and manages to stop them. He burns down the visitors’ center and believes that Darby and Jay are dead. He moves closer to the car and that’s when the police arrive there. The officer tells him to step away from the car and in the process, Darby shoots Ash and injures him. The officer tells Darby to move away and throw the gun. When she doesn’t do that, he shoots Darby too. Ash takes advantage of that situation and kills the officer. The movie ends with an epic scene where Ash is about to kill Darby with a gun, but suddenly she takes out a knife from her pocket and stabs him on his neck.
The movie ends with Darby reaching the rehab center again and her sister Devon finally coming to meet her.
