Nick Lachey ordered to attend anger management sessions after 'drunkenly' accosting female paparazzo
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Former '98 Degrees' singer and television personality, Nick Lachey, has been ordered to attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and anger management classes following an assault case that took place in March 2022 in Beverly Hills. The decision was made by a judge after Lachey was accused of assaulting a celebrity photographer, Jody Santos, who was taking pictures of him and his wife, Vanessa Lachey.
In one video of the incident captured on camera, Lachey is seen approaching Santos' car and attempting to grab her phone while cursing at her. Following the assault and the complaint filed by Santos, Lachey was charged with assault and battery. However, he has not taken any responsibility for his actions and Santos claims that he has not apologized for what he did, according to Daily Mail.

Lachey was ordered to complete 52 sessions of anger management
Santos has been working as a photographer for 18 years and claims that Lachey's court order came after months of her contacting the Beverly Hills Police Department about the incident. She had expressed her concerns that Lachey was receiving preferential treatment, but she was told that he had to attend anger management classes and AA meetings as part of a program with the courts. According to the report, Santos said that Lachey was ordered to complete 52 sessions of anger management classes and attend AA meetings.
'A personal apology was declined, then a written apology was declined'
"A personal apology was declined, then a written apology was declined. No one from his team has reached out and asked, ''are you ok?''' she said. Responding to the incident, Lachey tweeted a day later stating that he had overreacted to the paparazzi's harassment which he acknowledged was part of the entertainment industry's deal. He stated that he was "stupid" and was "done" with the incident.
Last night, after enjoying a great dinner with my wife and our dear friend, the paparazzi harassed us as we walked back to our hotel. I clearly overreacted. I’ve been in this game long enough to know that their antics are sadly part of the deal. Stupid of me. Done.

'In all my years of photographing celebrities, no one has ever tried to hit me'
Santos revealed that she was relieved that she rolled up her window as fast as she did during the assault or else Lachey would have knocked her out. She emphasized that in all her years of photographing celebrities, no one had ever tried to hit her before. "In all my years of photographing celebrities, no one has ever tried to hit me. I am just relieved that I rolled up my window as fast as I did, otherwise he would have knocked me out. No doubt about it."
