If you love listening to rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, here's a Christmas gift that you will fall in love with. In a surprise move, the band decided to make their 2018 concert film, 'Distant Sky — Live in Copenhagen', available for free on YouTube.

Directed by David Barnard, the 2-hour 24-minute video chronicles the band's emotional October 2017 concert at Denmark’s Royal Arena. The concert put the spotlight on their 2016 album 'Skeleton Tree', which was created after one of Cave's sons died.

A career-spanning setlist that featured the 1984 title track of their first album 'From Her to Eternity' was another major highlight from their performance. Sharing it with his fans and followers on Twitter, Cave wrote, “I’ve been getting many letters on The Red Hand Files asking about access to the 'Distant Sky — Live in Copenhagen' movie. Here it is! With Love at Christmas, Nick.”

They also released a live EP of the same name featuring performances of four songs from the concert, 'Jubilee Street', 'Distant Sky', 'From Her to Eternity' and 'The Mercy Seat'.

After watching the YouTube video, several fans praised the performance.

"I'm not religious but that was the most spiritual experience I've had in some time, Thanks to all!" one comment read and another said, "This was an awesome show, is there anyway this will be on DVD soon? Or some other digital copy to buy? I would love to own this. Thank you Mr Cave, and happy holidays."

Another tweet read, "Settling in now... Almost 2 1/2 glorious hours. Whisking me away into my dreams."

One fan posted, "Saw this in Athens, best concert of my life, best performance ever. Nick is a category of his own, a true artist," and another said, "Strongly regret not going to this tour. Such a tragically beautiful record."

The concert film was previously screened in theaters for just one night in 2018. In April, Cave added it to his website but only for a couple of days. Their most recent album 'Ghosteen' hit the charts in October.
