It's been a long long time since we saw Fox's latest science fiction crime drama 'Next' on our screens. Following John Slattery as Paul Leblanc, a prominent voice against society's growing independence on technology and AI, 'Next' tells the story of an AI gone rogue - an AI who has the ability to constantly improve itself, learning from its mistakes and doing better. On paper, this might sound like an unprecedented feat, but it is actually one of the biggest threats to mankind. The first two episodes proved that, but before it could tell more, 'Next' went on a pause because of the World Series.

But the show isn't airing tonight either. Due to the presidential elections, 'Next' is not going to be airing its third episode on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Instead, fans have to wait another week to find out what happens next on, well, 'Next'. In the episodes so far, Paul LeBlanc and Shea Salazar (Fernanda Andrade) made their first steps into fighting back against the AI. What they don't know is that the AI is very much aware that Agent Salazar is a threat, and chooses to get to her via her son Ethan (Evan Whitten). Even though Ethan is a young boy, he is just smart enough to realise that he is being used by the AI and is successful in thwarting AI's plans. He is then used as bait by Shea and Paul to trace the AI's residence - an address in Dartmouth, New Hampshire. The duo is now on their way there.

According to the official synopsis of the upcoming episode titled 'File #3', "Shea and LeBlanc head to Dartmouth to investigate NEXT's whereabouts, which are potentially linked to Biomotion Labs. There, they visit LeBlanc's friend, Professor Richard Pearish (guest star Michael Herzovi) for answers. Meanwhile, Shea, Ethan and Ty take extra precautions to disconnect from electronics and the Internet, and LeBlanc urges Abby to do so, as well, but NEXT complicates their plans."

The episode will be airing Tuesday, November 10, 2020, from 9 pm ET/PT on Fox. But if you are among those who cannot wait to find out what happens next in the sci-fi thriller, all the first three episodes of the series are available to stream on Fox.com, and on Hulu. There is also an update - the show has been cancelled after its first season. So make the most of it till it lasts.
