NYCC 2018: Six awesome trailers to look forward to
NYCC is finally here and it is set to kick-start its first day with the world premiere of DC's first ever live-action series, 'Titans'. The premiere will be followed by a panel with the stars Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft, Anna Diop, Ryan Potter, Minka Kelly and Alan Ritchson at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
NYCC has a lot to offer this year with a number of great panels, and of course, the first glances at some of the most anticipated TV shows and movies. Set to run from October 4-7, the comic convention is going to bring to fans exclusive footage and surprise screenings.
As we wait for the gates of the convention to open, here are our top six picks of the trailers of the shows and movies that fans can expect.
1. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Netflix is coming up with a number of horrors shows this season, and probably one of the most intriguing depictions of horror will be projected in creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'. Based on the character who first appeared on Archie's Madhouse #22, the show will be arriving on Netflix on October 26. Netflix fans will certainly have a gala time, as the streaming service is set to give the first glances of the teenage witch who tries to balance life between magic spells and normal humans. Netflix will provide a sneak peek into the show, along with 'The Haunting of House Hill', 'The Umbrella Academy', and 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance'.
2. Good Omens
After leaving the fans with just a behind-the-scenes clip at the SDCC, probably author and showrunner Neil Gaiman will give his fans a broader look into his upcoming mini-series. Based on Gaiman's 1990 novel 'Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch' the series will star David Tennant (whose 'Camping' is set to release on October 14) and Michael Sheen. Following a rather unique story about a demon, Crowley (Tennant), and angel Aziraphale (Sheen), who, being accustomed to live on Earth, seeks to prevent the coming of the antichrist and triggers the final battle between Heaven and Hell. 'Good Omens' will occupy the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
3. Nightflyers
Based on George RR Martin's 1980 science fiction horror novella, the show will follow a group of space explorers who go hunting for a mysterious alien ship. This psychological thriller has given out very little to the fans, even the trailer has not revealed enough other than signifying that the show is set in the year 2093. Probably, this SyFy series will give fans a lot more than what it has initially offered. The show is set to premiere on October 5 at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
This is an unprecedented collision of horror and sci-fi.

4. Doctor Who S11
Probably one of the most unique and anticipated seasons for the show, this time 'Doctor Who' has returned as a woman (played by Jodie Whittaker) who fell to the earth. Ever since the seventh series, this will also be the first time that each episode in the season will be a standalone story with no multi-parters. The 11th Season will premiere on October 7 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, and we are really hoping that the fans will be able to give some insights into what the show is rooting for.

5. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
With Sony recently dropping the trailer for this absurd and fresh take on Spidey, the panel might be able to tell fans how exactly the whole multi-dimensional thing works when it comes to webs and masks. 'Into the Spider-Verse' will see all six versions of Spider-Man assemble from other multiverses as they try to protect their own universe from an impending doom. The panel is set to discuss the movie with the fans on October 6 in the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
6. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
Hiccup and Toothless will probably encounter one of the greatest tests in their friendship in this upcoming final movie in the animated franchise. As the movie is set to hit theatres in March next year, it can be expected that the panel who will meet the fans on the final day of the NYCC, October 7, will give some detailed insights to the movie which has only increased our love for dragons by ten times.
