Newmoon announces new album
Newmoon is a shoegaze band hailing from Antwerp, Belgium. With two albums and a 7” EP already under their belt, the band has announced an upcoming album 'Temporary Light' (out March 22, 2024) and new single 'Crazing' out now. The new album "marks the next step in their musical evolution, showcasing their growth as a band and their dedication to creating transformative music".
Daniel Caesar drops Bob Marley cover
Marking the second release ahead of the album 'Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by the Film), multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Daniel Caesar has shared a cover of the iconic song 'Waiting In Vain' (listen to the track here). In conjunction with the opening of the new film 'Bob Marley: One Love', the forthcoming 7-track EP will be released on February 14 via Tuff Gong/Island Records.
Banshee covers Lana Del Ray
Sirencore songstress Banshee has released the new single and music video for her cover of Lana Del Rey's 'High by the Beach'. She also has announced her upcoming album 'Sirencore' out in March.
The Sleeveens to release debut LP
Dirtnap Records recently announced that they will be releasing the debut LP from Nashville’s The Sleeveens on February 9 and the band is back with a new track. The band will also be heading out on tour (see dates below).
F.O.D. makes it six!

The Blessed Madonna teams up with Clementine Douglas
The Blessed Madonna returns to kick off 2024 with new single 'Happier' ft. Clementine Douglas (stream it here). A record long in-demand after being successfully road-tested in her sets on dance floors all over the world, 'Happier' sees The Blessed Madonna join forces with rising star Clementine Douglas — BBC Radio 1’s Dance Vocalist Of The Year in 2022 and the voice behind Sonny Fodera’s 2023 breakthrough hit 'Asking' — for the first time.
Dead Years release new album
German band, Dead Years, released their new LP, 'Night Thoughts' on Dirt Cult Records in North America and My Ruin Records in Europe today. On 'Night Thoughts', Dead Years "effortlessly creates a vibe that hypnotically attracts and embraces the listener". The record was released on February 2.
Valient Himself goes solo
Valient Himself, frontan for Valient Thorr, relased his first solo album, 'Crooner Jukebox' digitally and on cassette February 3 on Richmond, Virginia small press label Smokedoggg Records. Followed in March by the vinyl release. Valient worked with friends from all over the country on this release for the last few years. "It was a pandemic project to finish an album of covers with buddies that I always wanted to play with but never had time because we were always touring," he said.
Kanii collabs with Riovaz and Nimstarr
Genre-blending DC vocalist Kanii has releasesd 'Tell Me', a new collaboration with Riovaz and Nimstarr under the moniker The Heart Racers. Laced with "emotional lyricism and energetic retro production", the track is accompanied by a video and arrives ahead of their upcoming EP, 'The Heart Racers', releasing on February 23.
Ghost Work drops new single
Ghost Work (featuring members/ex-members of Seaweed, Snapcase, Milemarker, and Minus The Bear) has released the new single 'Earthquake', off the upcoming 11-track LP 'Light a Candle for the Lonely' out on March 8 via Spartan Records. 'Light a Candle For The Lonely' arrives three years after the band's debut release 'You'll Be Buried With'.
Broken Hearts Are Blue drops single ahead of March album
Broken Hearts Are Blue released a brand new song and video from their newly announced album 'Meeting Themselves', out March 1 on Council Records. 'Meeting Themselves' was recorded in the summer of 2023 at John Vanderslice’s Tiny Telephone studio in Oakland. Meric Long (The Dodos) served as engineer and producer, while Bay Area multi-instrumentalists Yea-Ming Chen (Yea-Ming and the Rumours) and Anna Hillburg (Shannon and The Clams, Will Sprott, Shannon Shaw and her All Star Buddy Band) were brought in to add their unique flair to several tracks. The record’s first single 'The French Major' has been released, with a March release scheduled for the full album.
SAVAK drops Paul Heck-directed video
Brooklyn’s post-punk stalwarts SAVAK have dropped their latest single 'Will Get Fooled Again' and its accompanying music video which was directed by Paul Heck. 'Will Get Fooled Again' is on all streaming platforms now. The track follows singles 'Let The Sunlight In' and 'Leash Biter' and is the latest song to released from SAVAK's new album 'Flavors Of Paradise' out March 1 on Ernest Jenning Recording Co./Peculiar Works Music.
Zacari fans brace for debut
Gearing up for the release of his debut album, experimental artist Zacari – the voice behind the hit single 'LOVE.' with Kendrick Lamar and a songwriter whose written for the likes of VIC MENSA, M.I.A., Denzel Curry, Kembe X, and more – shares the new song 'Ocean' available to stream now on all digital platforms via Top Dawg Entertainment/The Orchard. Co-produced by Pharaoh Vice (Don Toliver, Gunna, Juice WRLD) and KND (Drake, LAYLA, Olson), the track marks the latest off Zacari’s upcoming album dropping soon.
Brit Taylor set for another stunner
Country singer/songwriter and Nashville Scene 2024 Artist to Watch Brit Taylor takes a journey back to her Appalachian home in her newest studio album, 'Kentucky Bluegrassed'. Released on the one-year anniversary of her critically acclaimed, Sturgill Simpson-produced album, 'Kentucky Blue', Taylor’s pure bluegrass album pays homage to the songs and sounds of her Kentucky childhood. The album was recorded at the famed Clement House Recording Studio in a single session.
Molly O’Leary all set for 'Marigold' release
Molly O’Leary is gearing up for the February 23 release of the new LP 'Marigold', and O’Leary has already dropped the single 'Echo'. 'Marigold' was recorded in Nashville with producer (and Grammy-nominated songwriter in his own right) Will Hoge. On the new album, the indie musician and songwriter from New Bedford, MA charts the highs and lows of their ongoing journey towards healing, self-acceptance, and self-actualization.
Zoe Boekbinder drops gritty single
Indie folk artist Zoe Boekbinder released 'Hold My Hand', the first single from their forthcoming album on February 2, 2024 via Are And Be Recordings. Set to a dark, moody melody, 'Hold My Hand' is about an emotionally abusive relationship. “This person was hot and cold, always pushing me away and pulling me back in. I never knew what to expect and it kept me on my toes in the worst way. I wrote this song shortly before we broke up,” explains Zoe.
Smallpools get nostalgic with new single
Indie rockers Smallpools have relaased their new single 'Motorbike (Wild Ones)'. 'Motorbike (Wild Ones)' follows the release of last month’s energetic debut single 'Night Shift' off Smallpools' forthcoming full-length album. Smallpools has also announced their Night Shift Spring 2024 co-headline tour with Grayscale.

Pink Sweat$ concert live stream platform revealed
R&B star Pink Sweat$ will host an acoustic performance at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 27. Pink Sweat$'s concert at this intimate venue "will be a unique experience, bringing fans closer than ever before". Streaming platform Veeps will broadcast the show live to fans globally. Veeps All Access subscribers can tune in for free, otherwise tickets are on sale now for $11.99. The show will air live on Veeps on February 27 at approximately 9pm PT.

Chicago glam punks Poison Boys have announced their Spain Tour 2024. The tour launches on February 23 and runs through March 10.

Ladytron announces US shows
Following a monumental journey in 2023 including a string of sold out shows, revered synth pop band Ladytron continue to announce new live shows for 2024. In addition to a headline slot at Nevada's Schellraiser Festival, Ladytron are excited to announce the following US shows this spring (see below). Tickets go on sale at 10 AM local time in each city. The band’s seminal single 'Destroy Everything You Touch' also continues to make headlines this year, most recently featured in Emerald Fennell's highly praised film and soundtrack for 'Saltburn' which has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and multiple BAFTAS.
