Nervous Eaters release 'Don't Need To Make You Mine' and 'Someone Else In Your Arms'

Boston rock pioneers Nervous Eaters have released the new single 'Don't Need To Make You Mine', written by guitarist Adam Sherman, and featuring him on lead vocals. The B-side 'Someone Else In Your Arms', was written by founding member and frontman Steve Cataldo.

Sherman says, "The song is about loving your partner without limits. Harmonious relationships must have freedom as a guiding principle. Embracing the desires of those closest to us allows our loved ones to show their brilliance and seek their true calling."

Speaking of the B-side 'Someone Else In Your Arms', Cataldo says, "'Someone Else In Your Arms', is a Rockabilly blues tune. My mother was born and raised in Fall Branch Tennessee in 1926. Thirty-eight years later, my mom and I would return to spend many hot summers in that rural southern town. Taking turns staying with each of her four brothers and two sisters, you really got to understand southern hospitality. One of her brothers happened to be a Baptist Minister, so we got to hear a lot a hell fire screaming at those Sunday's morning sermons, I loved it.

"If the Pastor wasn't marring em, he was burying em. He'd shout, "When the man calls, yawl got to go", still my favorite. Many a calling came from a night of slugging down Moonshine, brewed from 'Stills in the Hills'. It was a hell fire business, and business was good, especially, if a man found his wife cheat'n on him with his best friend or worse his brother. Just before he pulled out his 44, he screamed, crying, honey, 'you been out all night, how come you ain't treat'n me right'? 'Have you got someone, else in your arms...."

Peggy drops new EP 'Dear Reader'

The 23-year-old indie-pop sensation, Peggy, has released her new 'Dear Reader' EP. The project explores the universal themes of relationships, self-love, mental health, and more.

"When I listen to the songs on the project, it's like I'm escaping into a sanctuary or a safe place. I get overwhelmed very easily, and the world can be too much. Sonically, I'm creating the world I want to create. I get calm from the music, so I don't feel so overwhelmed. My world is less of a 'place' and more of a feeling," says Peggy.

'Dear Reader' boasts collaborations with remarkable talents, including the late Bram Inscore, recognized for his contributions to Troye Sivan and Beck, as well as Andrew Tufano, known for his work with Sad Alex, Rosie Darling, and Katelyn Tarver. 'Dear Reader' includes previous releases, 'Mess', the entrancing 'Alice', and the quirky 'Flight Risk', which have already garnered millions of streams.

Montreal-based Dee Holt drop second single 'Make a Move'

Last month breakout Montreal alt-pop artist Dee Holt made her return with her hypnotic single 'Make a Move', and now she follows it up with a moody pop banger 'Leaving Alone'.

Dee says, “It's about falling out of love with someone, without knowing why. It's about letting go without having a concrete reason. It's about the guilt that comes with the confusing feeling that one day you wake up, and you just don't have that same love for your partner anymore.”

After announcing an appearance at the Sommo Festival, Dee’s excited to add to her live appearances with more summer dates at the Sound of Music Festival in Burlington, Ontario and FEQ in Montreal.

Left Circles releases 13-track debut album 'Nothing Is One Thing'

Brooklyn, NYC's Left Circles has released its 13-track debut LP 'Nothing Is One Thing', via Miserable Neighbor Records. The solo project of musician Brian Pluta (live guitarist for Space Cadet), Left Circles is not content to stay confined to one style. The hook-heavy album flies through several modes of rock, from ‘90s lo-fi to Brit pop to ‘50s folk.

It was mixed by Travis Harrison (Guided By Voices, Built to Spill) and features drums from Kellii Scott (Failure) and Harrison, as well as guest vocals from Matt Hock (Space Cadet, The Explosion). Brian also plays live guitar for Miserable Neighbor labelmates Space Cadet.

Speaking of the video, Pluta says, "I was running out of time, with no idea what video #2 would be. By the dumbest of luck, I stumbled upon this 1937 cartoon directed by Ub Iwerks, who also did 'Steamboat Willie' and all those early Mickey Mouse cartoons. Those folks were masters of animation/music synchronicity having been the ones who invented it. So it's no wonder I was able to edit it to work with my straightforward 4/4 song. But the sync with Kellii's drum fills, with what the lyrics are saying...that's 100% chance. It's like they were meant to go together. Art director Jon Cochran brought the illusion home with those amazing title cards."

Huddy releases single '21' ahead of upcoming EP 'Love Bites'

Fresh off making a special guest appearance in Lenny Kravitz’s latest music video and gearing up for his much-anticipated performance at Lollapalooza this summer, multi-hyphenate rising star Huddy unveils his latest alternative-rock anthem '21' available to stream now on all digital platforms via The Orchard. The track is the latest off Huddy’s upcoming EP, 'Love Bites', due out on his 22nd birthday on May 15.

“'21' represents freedom and growth from everything I've gone through in my life,” says Huddy. “It's about letting go of my teenage self and allowing myself to grow up both physically and lyrically. It's an anthem for anyone turning 21, but it's also a coming-of-age song, capturing the feeling of being sent off to college or experiencing the world for the first time. For me, it's about moving to Los Angeles and discovering who I am and how I see the world."

Mötley Crüe drop latest single 'Dogs of War' with accompanying video

The legendary Mötley Crüe returns with a brand new single, 'Dogs of War', out now on all platforms via Big Machine Records. Their first song since 2019, the band has also released an accompanying music video for the new track. Created by Nick DenBoer, the visual features the rowdy quartet in an apocalyptic wasteland, full of classic Crüe debauchery.

"It’s always great getting back in the studio with the guys in the band,” Nikki Sixx admits. “We know you’re gonna like this one.”

Bob Rock, who produced the new single, as well as Mötley Crüe’s famed 1989 album, 'Dr. Feelgood', adds, “Working with the band on the new song was the easiest session I have ever had with them… The Crüe is the best they have ever been! And they have plenty of new stuff in store.”

Los Saints release single 'If Everything Goes' off debut album

The San Diego-based alternative rock quartet Los Saints has dropped 'If Everything Goes', the third single from their highly anticipated debut album 'Certified', slated for release on July 26 via ENCI Records.

Speaking of the single, guitarist/vocalist Angel Mariscal says, "It be hard not to feel like a burden sometimes, or sometimes, all the time. Or, if something ends without an answer as to why, you could go about it two ways. The first way is to seek out the answer, no matter where you have to go or who have to talk to, doing all of this within reason and either accept that things just happen sometimes and move on or resolve things. Or two, you could let the silence go on, or let the ship that’s slowly sinking, sink and over time come up with you own answer which is, just blame yourself. So the second thing is what i tend to do, which is not good, so don’t do it. That’s what this song is about pretty much."

LA power pop band For Closure releases new single 'Hazy Mourning'

LA area punk/power-pop band For Closure has released a new single 'Hazy Mourning' via Mindpower Records.

Front man Gizz Lazlo says, "Have you ever seen yourself with someone so special that everything in your life changes and youstart to think that things that never meant anything to you are now a priority? I've never had children. Never wanted them. I met a woman who is a lot younger than me and she showed me a new way to look at life. A wife and children seem like the very thing I was missing in life."

The genesis of For Closure stems from the dissolution of the longtime San Fernando Valley-based band For Sale, which ran its course in the early 2020s, some 30 years from its inception. At the terminus of For Sale, vocalist Gizz Lazlo (Dr. Know, U.K. Subs, The Freeze) and guitarist Luis Estefania (F.Y.P., Rhythm Collision, Buford) still had a stack of unrecorded material as the band’s primary songwriters, but no band with which to perform it all. Enter the creation of For Closure.
