Aussie Stefan West set to release third single from upcoming album

Stefan West, Australia's own indie sensation from the coastal city of Geelong, will release his third single from forthcoming album, 'Cambridge' on March 15. Produced and mixed by Chris Gatz at GM Sound Studios and mastered by Joe Carra at Crystal Mastering, 'Slow Down World' is a moving exploration of the human experience when the pursuit of self-improvement collides with the overwhelming chaos of life.

In the Stefan's own words, "'Slow Down World' is about when self help goes to far. Its about trying absolutely everything that you hear might make you feel better, but you still feel stuck. its about trying your absolute best and it still not feeling good enough and just needing the world to slow down for a moment to catch your breath, because every moment feels like you’re on the verge of crumbling"

Stunning Glen Campbell and Carole King duet drops

Big Machine Records and Surfdog Records have released a new track from 'Glen Campbell Duets -- Ghost on the Canvas Sessions', the duets album that reimagines Campbell’s critically-acclaimed, history-making farewell album 'Ghost on the Canvas'. 'There’s No Me Without You (With Carole King)' is available digitally now.

Penned by Campbell and one of the album’s producers, Julian Raymond, the emotional ballad was written about the unbreakable bond Campbell shared with his wife, Kim, crediting her for completing him. It will be released April 19.

“Words cannot express how much I enjoyed blending my voice with Glen's on this incredibly touching love song. Hard to sing when you’re crying,” said King.

King first met Campbell in New York in the early 1960s when she, the Everly Brothers’ Phil Everly and Campbell formed the short-lived novelty trio, the Keestone Family Singers, who released one single in 1962.

SYML releases 'The Walker'

Seattle-based singer-songwriter SYML has dropped his new single, 'The Walker'. The track was written by Brian Fennell, aka SYML, and recorded and produced alongside longtime collaborator Brian Eichelberger, with textural additions from James McAlister (Sufjan Stevens, The National, Gracie Abrams) and the Budapest Scoring Orchestra.

When asked about the inspiration, Fennell said, “We carry burdens of all kinds, and no one can carry them for us. But as we walk through different seasons of life, if we’re lucky, we will have companions who walk with us. Whether it’s a parent, partner, friend, or even a child, they can encourage us and bring perspective to our walks. We also learn how to walk with others from those who walk with us."

'The Walker' is the first song to be released via Fennell’s new imprint, FIN. Recordings. The new venture is a collaboration with his longtime label, Nettwerk Music Group, and management team, Good Harbor Music.

Midnight Foolishness will be celebrating 'Quitters Get Nothing' with two special single release shows at Lucky 13 Saloon in Brooklyn, NY on March 1 and at Clarky’s Billiards in Scranton, PA.

Texas band Voxtrot drops 'My Peace'

Texas indie-pop/rock group Voxtrot have released 'My Peace', their third single since reuniting. Voxtrot has announced Texas tour dates which will include shows in Houston on February 29 at The Secret Group, March 1 in San Antonio at Paper Tiger and March 2 in Dallas at Deep Ellum Art Co. This spring the band will be performing at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. The festival will take place from May 29-June 2.

Max describes the project, "Most of these songs are written about something that's melancholic or dark, but they're still trying to land in a beautiful place without bastardizing the truth. This music represents exactly how I feel about my life at this time."

Laura Jane Grace drops 'Hole in My Head'

Polyvinyl Record Co and Laura Jane Grace have released 'Hole In My Head', the Emmy-nominated artist, author, activist and musician’s new full-length album.

Recorded at Native Sound in St. Louis, MO with David Beeman and mixed by Matt Allison (The Lawrence Arms, Rise Against), 'Hole In My Head' is a showcase that features warm, 1950s rock-influenced guitar riffs, saved-for-later lyrics, love letters to new surroundings, and thoughtful reflections on a punk life lived. Grace’s commanding vocals are backed predominately by her performances on guitar and drums, and bolstered by Drive-By Truckers bassist Matt Patton, whose presence rounds out a full-band sound on over half the album.

Additionally, Grace and her band will be touring behind 'Hole In My Head' this March, May and July across the US and Canada with support from Worriers, Sam Russo, Thelma and the Sleaze and Dikembe in select markets.
