Ian Flanigan releases new single 'Broken Heart'

Country music singer-songwriter Ian Flanigan’s new single 'Broken Heart' is now available. 'Broken Heart' showcases Flangian’s smokey, bluesy vocals and romantic side.

The single was written by Wade Kirby, Chris Gelbuda, and Jon Stone and co-produced by Jon Stone (Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, Blake Shelton) and Ian Flanigan.

“You'd think by [the title] it might be a sad song — but it’s really about celebrating this beautiful woman that you’re with. And a lot of guys are going to be leaving with a broken heart because they’re not leaving with her," Flanigan said.

Awolnation drops music video for latest single 'Panoramic View'

'Panoramic View', a new single and music video from AwolNation is out. It finds Aaron Bruno -- at the very start of the pandemic -- speaking to his own unborn children at the time, the track sends an uplifting message of embracing the scariness while harnessing the inner strength to believe that everything will ultimately be alright. The music video, also out today, was directed by Darren Doane.

Opening up about the heartfelt inspiration behind the track, Bruno says: "I remember writing this one on a piano almost four years ago. It’s quite a sincere and profound song because I wrote it to my scared little kid that I didn't even have yet. I have twin boys now but we weren't pregnant yet when I wrote it. Basically, I’m saying I'll protect you, everything's gonna be okay. Back then, we all felt scared in some way, no matter who you were—whether you were fearful of being sick or of how governments were handling it, or how your friends were handling it, personal decisions…."

Earlier in March, AwolNation celebrated the anniversary of their debut album 'Megalithic Symphony', which dropped 13 years ago as of March 15. 'Panoramic View' is the first single to be released from AwolNation’s forthcoming album due out this summer.

AwolNation will also be joining 311 and Neon Trees on the 'Unity Tour' this summer. The tour will kick off in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 20 and will be making stops throughout the United States before wrapping up in Redmond, Washington on August 31.

“‘Like A Kennedy’ is a unique song in my eyes. It’s a song I wanted to write for so long but had never gotten it completely right,” said frontman Eric Egan. “Once we nailed it as a band, it started taking shape beyond the album version. Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir release debut album 'Pictures in the Dark'

Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir have released their debut full-length album, 'Pictures in the Dark'. The 8-track album kicks off with 'The Ending of the End', the band’s lead single from summer of 2023.

“This is definitely one of the more snarkier songs I’ve ever written,” Wiley says. “It’s all gallows humor, written about waiting for the end of the world. I wrote this song in the middle of 2020, and it was my way of recognizing the pickle we were in that year, and making peace with whatever was going to happen.”

After finishing the record, fiddle player and guitarist Eddie Dickerson would depart from the band, but other than his instrumental offerings, he also wrote the March 2023 single, 'Full-Handed'.

Los Saints drops single 'Never Said' ahead of debut LP

San Diego-based alternative rock four-piece Los Saints returns with 'Never Said', the second single off the band's upcoming debut LP 'Certified', due out July 26 on ENCI Records. Additionally, Los Saints also debuted a music video for the album's first single 'Faded'.

Of the single 'Never Said', guitarist/vocalist Angel Mariscal says, “I like to dedicate this song to everybody who’s had the entire Tinder experience. There, you get the good, the bad, and yeah pretty much just those but also, sometimes you get the great, for those people that end up with the great. I remember when I first got into the dating scene I was a fresh high school graduate and it was an experience, idk [sic] what kind but you know, life lessons, confusion and more life lessons. Basically, the first verse is pre-Tinder, second verse is post, and some, because the app isn’t exclusive to bad experiences, but, it might happen if you go on it looking for more than. You know? You know. Right? Shouts out to Emiliano for coming up to that addicting guitar thing in the chorus."

The Dangerous Summer release new single 'Gravity' off their upcoming album

The Dangerous Summer have announced their forthcoming record, 'Gravity', out June 21 via Rude Records. To celebrate, the band have also shared their brand new single, 'Gravity'.

Speaking of the track, lead singer, AJ Perdomo says, “‘Gravity’ almost never happened. It had an old name -- ‘The Walls Outside', with completely different lyrics. A week before the end of the record, I locked myself in my room for two-and-a-half days. It was kind of a breaking point in the record, but it turned out to be filled with so much heart, that it ended up as the first single. It really encapsulates the album. The lonely journey we spent out in space finding our sound. There were times where I thought that we would never make it back."

SeeYouSpaceCowboy release 'To The Dance Floor For Shelter' featuring Courtney LaPlante

Post hardcore band SeeYouSpaceCowboy have released 'To The Dance Floor For Shelter', the latest single -- which features Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox -- from their new album 'Coup De Grâce'.

“This song is our little ode to the emo songs that we were all obsessed with growing up, we wanted something that would almost feel cinematic in nature and felt like it carried you through from the piano in the beginning to the journey through the middle to the climax,” the band says. “It’s a song that Courtney’s vocals beautifully fit into as a voice that leads you to that destructive end.”

'Coup De Grâce' is set to be released on April 19 via Pure Noise Records and features previous singles 'Respite For A Tragic Tale (ft. iRis.EXE)', 'Silhouettes in Motion', 'Rhythm and Rapture (ft. nothing, nowhere.)', and 'Chewing The Scenery'.

Trummors drop George Strait cover 'I Can Still Make Cheyenne'

Trummors have released the George Strait cover 'I Can Still Make Cheyenne', the final pre-release single from the band's album '5' out April 12 on Ernest Jenning Record Co.

'I Can Still Make Cheyenne' was written by Aaron Barker and Erv Woolsey and famously recorded and performed by George Strait. The band's version of the song follows the release of singles 'Hey Babe' and 'Cosmic Monster'.

Of the song, the band's David Lerner says: "We have a classic country station here in northern New Mexico, KYBR in Española. They’re big on 80s artists like Keith Whitley, Clint Black, and, of course, the King — George Strait. For this LP, we wanted to showcase that neo-traditional influence alongside our love of West Coast stuff like The Byrds and Burrito Brothers. 'I Can Still Make Cheyenne' is a song about how even a sadly inevitable breakup can have a certain beauty and integrity; Anne and I both immediately connected with the melody and thought the chorus would be more powerful with a harmony.

How??? release new single 'This Is How (Remove It)' off upcoming debut album

Of the track, the band's Alex Tebeleff says, “The process of transforming the music and songwriting was radically open and we went through many layers of instrumentation and approaches in the studio, only to clear out most of it to be left with something we never expected at the end. We took a lot of inspiration from Talking Heads and Roxy Music in this process.”

Mike Kinsella drops two singles ahead of 'The Falls of Sioux' release

Owen (Mike Kinsella) has released two new singles from the forthcoming album 'The Falls of Sioux', co-produced by Sean Carey (Bon Iver) and Zach Hanson (Bon Iver, Low, Waxahatchee) and due out April 26 via Polyvinyl Record Co. 'Virtue Misspent' and 'Hit and Run' are out, the former paired with its own music video directed by Alec Basse and Max More.

“‘Virtue Misspent’ is an homage to one of my all-time favorite bands, New Order,” shares Kinsella. “The guitar part always sounded to me like a Peter Hook bassline, so I sort of leaned into that in the studio by adding synth strings and plugging the electric guitar straight into the board, etc.

In addition to Kinsella’s shows this year with American Football for the band’s 24th anniversary of 'LP1', and a gig with Cap’N Jazz at Best Friends Forever fest, he will tour as Owen this spring and summer, playing these songs and more from 'The Falls of Sioux'.
