'To All The Boys: PS I Still Love You' 1st look images show Lara and Peter are back but she's confused about feelings for John

The first look of the sequel to 'To All the Boys I have Loved Before' is out. Titled 'To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You', the film will see Lara Jean struggle to understand her feeling for Peter Kavinsky vs the ones she has for her friend John Ambrose McClaren

'To all the Boys I have Loved Before' characters Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky are set to return in the Netflix sequel titled 'To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You'. The first look images of the film were released on Thursday and it looks and we will see Covey and Kavinsky giving this thing called a relationship, a try.

The first look was exclusively released by EW who quoted the director of the film, Michael Fimognari, as saying, "Jenny constructed a book trilogy starting with Lara Jean alone in her room, reading romance novels and fantasizing about what it means to be in love, to getting that, and now [in the sequel], dealing with it. And we still have the little drop in the pond that was created in the first movie, which is these love letters that got sent out, and the ripple of that gets to come back."

One such ripple happens to be the character of John Ambrose McClaren who we met at the end of the first film. He is one of Lara's friends, who she felt something for and had written him a letter to express her love. With his return, Lara is forced to look hard at her feelings for Peter and understand if what she feels for John is friendship or something beyond that.

Speaking about this conflict, actor Lara Condor, who plays the role of Lara Jean in the film said, "They’re true friends. But because you can love your friend very much, you get confused. You’re like, ‘Do I love him or do I love him as a friend?’ So he’s really there to mix it up."

From faking their relationship in the first movie to falling in love and confessing their feelings for each other, Covey and Kavinsky have come a long way. In the process, the two have understood what they mean to each other.

In this sequel, however, Jenny is going to have to make a decision about her mixed-up feelings. Will Covey and Kavinsky make it through this together or will they part ways to give space for Covey's feelings for John?

We will have to watch that when the movie releases February 12, 2020.
