LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: OceanGate Expedition recently confirmed the deaths of five passengers onboard the Titan submersible. The submersible was on its way to see the famous Titanic wreck in the Atlantic Ocean. The tragedy is still fresh in people's minds as families, friends, and others mourn the shocking loss of the passengers. However, by the looks of it, Netflix has decided to capitalize on the tragedy as they bring back ‘Titanic’ to their streaming platform.

‘Titanic’ was first released in 1997 and was based on the 1912 tragedy, and has been in and out of the news ever since. However, after the recent events and the unfortunate deaths revolving around the Titanic submersible, 'Titanic’ is back in the headlines. The original movie was a box-office hit with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in the center stage and is making its way back to the popular streaming platform Netflix, only days after the Titanic submersible tragedy.

When is ‘Titanic’ streaming on Netflix?

It won’t be long until you can stream ‘Titanic’ on your screens once again. Those who need a refresher of the tragedy can stream the 1997 movie directed by James Cameron on July 1, as per Pop Culture.

In addition to this, Celine Dion’s popular song ‘My Heart Will Go On’ which was also the heart of ‘Titanic’ has seen a huge surge in plays since the Titan submersible tragedy, as reported by multiple sources.

Netflix bringing back ‘Titanic’ on the platform seems like a tactic to boost streaming, and only time will tell whether or not it will work in their favor. Nevertheless, the internet seems shocked and not too pleased with Netflix’s move so soon after the tragedy which claimed the lives of five people.

‘Netflix is messy asf’

People on Twitter haven’t held back from letting Netflix know that they aren’t too pleased about this ‘Titanic’ move as one wrote, “Netflix is really capitalizing on a tragedy.” Another user tweeted, “Netflix really said:” along with a gif that reads "bring me my money."

The focus remained on the fact that Netflix was incredibly fast as one user said, “Netflix wasted no time 💀.”

The internet didn't hold back on the conspiracy theories when it came to the Titanic submersible and Netflix as one person tweeted, “What if Netflix planned this whole submarine fiasco just to get Titanic added back to Netflix so more people will buy it so they can watch Titanic 😭.”

One user said, “Netflix putting Titanic back on there July 1st that’s crazy lol capitalism rules the world.” One Twitter user summed up the emotions that several were feeling at the moment as they wrote, “Netflix is messy asf adding titanic rn.” Looks like the people have spoken, but will they still be tuning into Netflix to watch ‘Titanic’?
