Plot
According to the official synopsis of the show, "'NCIS: New Orleans' is a drama about the local field office that investigates criminal cases involving military personnel in The Big Easy, a city known for its music, entertainment, and decadence. Leading the team is Special Agent Dwayne Pride, aka 'King' a native of New Orleans who is driven by his need to do what is right. This colorful city that harbors a dark side is a magnet for service personnel on leave and when overindulgence is followed by trouble, Pride's team is at its best."

Scott Bakula as Dwayne Pride aka King
Bakula's character is "driven by his need to do what is right". The actor is best known for his work as Sam Beckett as 'Quantum Leap' - a role for which he won four Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award - as Captain Jonathan Archer on 'Star Trek: Enterprise'. He is also known for his performance in 'Men of a Certain Age' and 'Looking'.
Charles Michael Davis as Quentin Carter
Charles' character is described as "a brash NCIS Special Agent who is the replacement for agent Christopher LaSalle". The actor is known for his role as Marcel Gerard on 'The Originals'.
Vanessa Ferlito as Tammy Gregorio
Ferlito's character of Tammy is a former FBI Agent who was sent to New Orleans to investigate NCIS and then joined Pride's team. The actress is best known for her role of Detective Aiden Burn in 'CSI: NY'. She is also known for her work in 'Shadowboxer', 'Spider-Man 2', 'Man of the House', 'Death Proof', 'Madea Goes to Jail', 'Julie & Julia', 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' and 'Stand Up Guys'.
Necar Zadegan as Special Agent Hannah Khoury
Zadegan's character is described as "a seasoned agent who specializes in international counter-intelligence and has spent most of her career on overseas assignments". The actress is best known for her role of Dalia Hassan on '24' and Delia Banai on 'Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce'. She is also known for 'The Good Doctor', 'Here and Now', and 'Star Trek: Picard'.
Rob Kerkovich as Sebastian Lund
Kerkovich plays the role of Sebastian Lund, "a brilliant scientist who left the lab and after much training, became an agent". The actor is also known for his work on 'Cloverfield', 'The Rebound' and 'Still Waiting....'.
CCH Pounder as Dr Loretta Wade
Pounder plays the role of Dr Loretta Wade, the medical examiner "who is as eccentric as she is smart". The actress is best known for her role of Dr Angela Hicks in 'ER' and Detective Claudette Wyms in 'The Shield'.
Creators
'NCIS: New Orleans' was created by Gary Glasberg, who was the showrunner of the OG show 'NCIS'. The third season was the last season produced by him. Since his death, the show has been entrusted with several directors including James Hayman, James Whitmore Jr, Mary Lou Belli, Gordon Lonsdale, Tessa Blake and LeVar Burton among others.
