Just like every year, NBC is continuing the tradition of planning one of the biggest New Year’s events with some of the top global musicians. However, the only difference this time is that it will all be done virtually. The network has kept all the health and safety guidelines on priority and therefore, there will be no public access to the New Year's Eve countdown to the ball drop in Times Square.

The event called ‘NBC's New Year's Eve 2021’ will be hosted by Carson Daly, whom we recently saw hosting the 19th season of the singing reality show ‘The Voice'. Amber Ruffin, star of Peacock's ‘The Amber Ruffin Show’ and writer for ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers', and Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, DJ and co-executive producer for ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ will also join Daly in the hosting activities. Speaking of performers, here’s what the list looks like.

Jason Derulo

The 31-year-old singer-songwriter and dancer is expected to give a powerful performance on his 2020 biggest hit ‘Savage (Remix)'. Derulo, who has been super active on TikTok this year, might also belt out his songs such as ‘Take You Dancing’ and ‘Cono'.

Kylie Minogue

The award-winning Australian crooner dropped her album ‘Disco’ in 2020 and therefore, we can expect her to perform some of the songs from the record such as ‘Real Groove', ‘Magic' and ‘Love It'. Her album was released in the first week of November and opened to positive reviews.

Blake Shelton with Gwen Stefani

Blake Shelton recently got free from the duties of being a judge on the singing reality show ‘The Voice’ and so did Gwen Stefani. The off-screen couple had released their song ‘Happy Anywhere’ and there is no doubt they are going to serenade their loyal fans with the same. The song was one of the top-charting numbers of 2020.

Busta Rhymes featuring Anderson .Paak

Released in October 2020, Busta Rhymes featuring Anderson .Paak’s song ‘Yuuu’ got a tremendous response on the internet and we can expect the duo to kill the stage with their hit single at the New Year’s special broadcast.

AJR

American pop trio comprising of multi-instrumentalist brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met will also be seen on NBC's New Year's Eve 2021 special event. The trio might belt out their songs such as ‘100 Bad Days', ‘My Play' and ‘Bang'.

Chloe x Halle

The lovely R&B duo of Chloe x Halle was all over the internet in 2020. They surely upped their game this year despite the global pandemic. The talented pair might mesmerize their fans with songs such as ‘Do It', ‘Forgive Me' and ‘Busy Boy'.

Bebe Rexha featuring Doja Cat

Bebe Rexha and Doja Cat collaborated for the very first time on the song ‘Baby, I’m Jealous’ and fans of both the artistes simply loved it. One of the top-charting singles of 2020, the song will surely prove to be a hit among the virtual audience.

Sting featuring Shirazee

Shirazee flipped Sting’s 1988 hit single and ‘I am an African in New York’ worked like magic in 2020. We are sure, they will repeat the magic on NBC’s New Year’s special event.

The line-up for NBC's New Year's Eve 2021 surely looks amazing. Apart from the above mentioned musicians, artistes such as CNCO, Goo Goo Dolls and Pentatonix will also hit the stage at the event. ‘NBC's New Year's Eve 2021’ will be broadcasted on the NBC network. The event will be aired on Thursday, December 31, 2020, from 10 pm to 11 pm ET/PT and will break for local news and return for the final countdown to the iconic ball drop from 11.30 pm-12.30 am ET/PT. Apart from the NBC network, viewers can also watch the New Year’s special event on the NBC app from most devices. The audience sitting at home can also access NBC with a Hulu + Live TV subscription, a YouTube TV subscription, or through fuboTV.
