Lindsey Witte had always struggled with her weight and even though she got a bariatric surgery before, things did not shape out in the way she had hoped they would. However, she just wanted to have a second chance at making things right. After having various instances influencing her eating habits while growing up, Lindsey found it hard to get her eating habits under control.

Dr Younan Nowzaradan had advised Lindsey to lose at least 75lbs three months after consultation. However, Lindsey was able to lose only 28lbs and was disappointed with how things were going. She was not able to bring herself to fully commit to the diet that was recommended to her which also made things difficult between her and her husband, Paul.

This led Lindsey to take the big decision of moving out of the house and move to Houston to make sure that she stays on track with her weight goal. Lindsey decided to move in with Irine, who had also undergone a bariatric surgery and knew the effort that went into reaching the goal weight.

Despite this, Lindsey was not able to lose enough weight and during her second visit, just lost 19lbs. Dr Nowzaradan was not impressed with how Lindsey was working on her weight loss plan and thought that she wasn't serious about losing weight. Lindsey was left ashamed of herself once she laid her eyes on the weighing scale.

It is then that she decided to take things seriously and reaching the weight that she is required to. Weighing 647lbs before she started the weight loss plan, Lindsey had to make her weight come under 400lbs. Luckily, with a lot of dedication, she was finally able to lose 131lbs and got approved for surgery.

With a total weight loss of 171 lbs, Dr Nowzaradan was impressed by how Lindsey made sure that her weight is lost. While the surgery went smoothly, Dr Nowzaradan warned Lindsey that she should make sure that she stays on track with her weight loss and keeps exercising to make sure that her weight is not increased. Lindsey seemed positive about the new change and was ready to turn her life around.

'My 600-lbs Life' airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm on TLC.
