Glitz and glamour are a part of the MTV VMA Awards and this year was no different. As music icons popped at the red carpet one by one, they looked absolutely stunning as the star-studded remote ceremony was held this Sunday, August 30. Initially set to be held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, New York City, the event is being hosted by actress, singer, and talk show personality Keke Palmer. While some performances were pre-taped, others were staged at different locations throughout New York City due to social distancing regulations amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Miley Cyrus nailed the fashion statement in a see-through black off-the-shoulder embroidered Mugler dress. She accented her outfit with a pair of matching gloves, strappy heels, shimmering red lips and bronze make-up.
Lady Gaga
Laga Gaga pulled a shocker with her quirky mask and channeled the VMA's Moon Man theme in a silver jacket, helmet and black platform boots.
Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie looked stunning in a green dress with a long train and matching stilettos. She accented it with a bun and light make-up.

The awards ceremony began at 8 pm ET/PT and the VMAs Pre-Show started at 6.30 pm ET/PT. The list of nominations had been announced with Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande both leading with nine nods each for their 'Rain on Me' music video. Meanwhile, Billie Eilish and The Weeknd were not too far behind with six nominations for 'Everything I Wanted' and 'Blinding Lights' respectively.
