The red carpet, breathtaking performances and a fully packed hour of entertainment, MTV Video Music Award promised all of that and delivered so much more. BTS made all of their fans, or rather their 'Army', proud by bagging four awards in different categories. After winning the award for the Best Pop, Best K-Pop and Best Group, the boy band also took home Best Choreography award for their song 'ON'.

Because of the pandemic, celebs didn't gather at the Barclays Center in New York City, as was originally planned. Instead, the artists joined from their respective hubs across the country. Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga led the nominations. Gaga went on stage multiple times, winning the first award for best collaboration for her hit single with Grande — 'Rain On Me'. Two more of the top awards of the night — artist of the year and song of the year — also went to Gaga.

Meanwhile, BTS also made their fans groove when they set the stage on fire. "ARMYs, are you ready?" asked VMAs host Keke Palmer, before introducing arguably the most anticipated performance of the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards: "All the way from South Korea, BTS!"

Who were the other nominees?

CNCO & Natti Natasha – 'Honey Boo'

DaBaby – 'BOP'

Dua Lipa – 'Physical'

Lady Gaga with Ariana Grande – 'Rain On Me'

Normani – 'Motivation'

As soon as the news of their fourth win came in, BTS Army got all excited. One fan commented, "Wow - @BTS_twt have definitely upped thier choreography game. Does the bottle blonde #BTS singer in the vest and blue tie seem to be channeling Michael Jackson? #VMAs #VMAWITHBTS." Another fan commented, "BTS is giving you rhythm, choreography, vocals and poise. Your favorite boy band out right now wish they could."

Another happy fan wished them saying, "Yup he did that look at him center choreography, that's the content I signed up for  Killer moves banker #Namjoon how you doin' @BTS_twt." One said, "That was so perfect! You guys never fails to amaze me. Congratulations @BTS_twt for winning this year VMA’s KPop Best Group, Best Pop & Best Choreography for #ON Award. I’m so proud of you. Borahae. #VMAWITHBTS
