The next one stated, “@diplo and Swae Lee just insulted the legend, Elvis. The performance was atrocious and plain stupid! The kid can’t sing to save himself and nonetheless hold a damn guitar. @diplo just no…no.. no… #wtf.”  Another added, “#MTVMovieAwards This is the worst performance to ever show on your stage. Especially to honor #elvis ? There was nobody better than @diplo and #swaelee to perform that? Why the echo microphone?”

One individual said, “I don't know who this chap is that's "singing" over an Elvis track, but it's something really special when you're using autotune and STILL manage to be completely off key. Can we please require a modicum of genuine talent from celebrities?” Another concluded, “This isn’t a tribute to Elvis. This is an insult. The auto tune, the inability to hold a guitar lack of actual talent. This is a just sad.”
