GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: YouTube sensation Felix "PewDiePie," who formerly held the record for having the most subscribers to a single channel, has lost another one of his accomplishments.

Jimmy "MrBeast" has amassed an impressive 29,077,461,841 views on the video-sharing platform YouTube, surpassing PewDiePie's channel's total views now at 29,069,896,468.

Most channel views

It was a historic accomplishment in the YouTube community when MrBeast for the first time in November 2022 topped PewDiePie in total subscribers. By outpacing his alleged competition in total views, MrBeast has repeated a previous accomplishment.

PewDiePie, who now resides in Japan, has around 29.06 billion views, almost nine million fewer than MrBeast. They have also created quite different numbers of videos, with the former having almost 4.7K films and the latter having 741 videos as of this writing.

However, considering their different approaches to content generation, the discrepancy is understandable. MrBeast is renowned for creating expensive videos that take weeks to plan, shoot, and edit. PewDiePie, on the other side, is well known for his vintage commentary or reaction videos, which are often quicker to make.

It's interesting that PewDiePie's most popular video has gathered 133 million views despite being a ridiculously short, four-second clip from a YouTube original series. The Squid Game series is recreated in real life in MrBeast's most popular video on his channel, which has had over 466 million views.

‘Pewdiepie stopped uploading regularly’

As the news was announced on Twitter, numerous people commented on the post, and many of them congratulated the content creator. A fan wrote, “surprised it took so long. pewdiepoop lost relevancy 20 years ago.” Whereas another fan wrote, “Pewdiepie stopped uploading regularly and started raising kids and a family. MrBeast promotes trans ideology. Don’t care, Pewdiepie wins in every sector, with half the effort.”

Another fan commented, “He will eventually, he's projected to pass T Series in subscribers within the next year or two.” Another one said, “Comparing apples and oranges here. You have 2 great YouTubers from to different areas of YouTube. One is a one man band with more personal and gaming content to a team of creative talent trying to make the best fun and entertaining videos they can.”
