NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Mr and Mrs Smith', available on Prime Video, has concluded with a gripping cliffhanger, leaving the audience in suspense about the fate of the Smiths.

The tension escalates as the Smiths face the consequences of three failed missions, signaling a looming crisis.

The final episode, 'Breakup', begins with Jane Smith (Maya Erskine) and John Smith (Donald Glover) parting ways and pursuing each other with vengeance. The intense chase culminates in a violent confrontation within their mansion involving shotgun blasts and life-threatening struggles.

The Smiths are trapped

Trapped in a web of unresolved issues, John decides to inject Jane with truth serum. In a bid to level the playing field, he willingly takes a shot of the serum himself.

As the effects take hold, the Smiths then begin to lose control over their body leading to an honest exchange of feelings. Jane reveals that her love was, indeed, genuine.

Jane tells the other Smiths about all the hidden weapons under the influence of truth serum. However, she takes control of the situation and escapes into the safe room with John, who is now wounded.

Are the Smiths alive?

John is badly injured, defenseless, and without weapons, while Jane finds herself with just one bullet while the assassins are still alive and lurking nearby. In a desperate attempt to keep John alive, Jane engages in a heartfelt conversation about a potential future together.

Facing the grim reality Jane takes a daring step to unlock the safe room, intending to eliminate the other Jane. The episode reaches its climax as the neighbor enters the mansion to hand over a book.

Observing the aftermath of the shootout, he exits, making a call that signals the imminent sale of the mansion.

The season concludes with an intense cliffhanger. Has Jane succeeded in killing the other Jane? Has she managed to save John's life? The unanswered questions suggest the possibility of a second season leaving viewers eagerly waiting for the resolution of the mystery.

All the episodes of 'Mr and Mrs Smith' are now streaming on Prime Video.
