Morgan Wallen set for North American leg of ‘One Night at a Time’ tour after ugly 2021 racist tirade
NASHVILLE, TENNESSE: Country musician Morgan Wallen bounces back after an ugly racist tirade a year ago launching a new tour at American Family Field this upcoming April. The multi-platinum-selling icon will launch the North American leg of his 'One Night at a Time World Tour' at American Family Field on Saturday, April 15, 2023. The tour will feature 36 cities but will begin in Milwaukee.
In 2021, a video surfaced on the internet where Wallen could be heard using multiple racial slurs. Following the racist controversy, the singer allegedly faced severe backlash for use of the N-word after a night of partying with his friends. The video was shot by Wallen's neighbor on January 31 in Nashville where Wallen appeared to be speaking in an inebriated state as his words appeared slurred, but the use of offensive words was evident.

In the footage, Wallen can be heard saying, "Hey, take care of this p*****a** m*****f***er. Hey, hey (inaudible) take care of this p*****a** [N-word]." The country musician repeatedly apologized for his stunt and remarked that he thought his usage of the N-word was 'playful' but admitted his mistake as ignorant and wrong. Wallen even pledged to not tour until he took time to "improve," saying, "I've found this time away to be very valuable to me in many ways, but I feel like I need a little more of it, and therefore will not be performing tour dates this summer [in 2021]," reported TMZ.
"I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better," the singer expressed. Even in the midst of the controversy his 'Dangerous: The Double Album' soared in sales, becoming Billboard's longest-running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist, even eclipsing Adele's 21 and Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA.
Now after his comeback tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the public on Friday, Dec 9 at 2:00 pm with a "Verified Fan Presale" set to take place Wednesday, Dec 7 at 2:00 pm. That same day, fans will have an opportunity to buy VIP packages, "Platinum Seats" as well as tickets via the Aisle Seat Offer, reported CBS 58. The star-studded line-up will have performances from P!NK who will take the stage on August 14. Including superstar billing of George Strait, Chris Stapleton, and Little Big Town all taking the stage on June 3.
