Will 'Money Heist' aka 'La Casa de Papel' Season 2 Part 4 break all viewership records of Part 3 on Netflix?
One of the few Spanish shows to have snuck into the hearts of global viewers, 'Money Heist' or 'La Casa de Papel' is all set to unleash more mayhem with part four.
With a whopping 34 million views for part three, the crime-drama series smashed all-time records on Netflix. Now it's time to wonder: will part four do the same?
The streaming service also branded it as "one of the most-watched Netflix series or film of all time in any language – and the highest non-English speaking show ever". As the last season ended on a major cliffhanger around one of the major characters, Nairobi's (Alba Flores) death, fans can't stop wondering if she will survive.
With all the enthusiasm for the new season, it is yet to be seen whether fans get together to break all records that Netflix recorded last time. With the coronavirus lockdown, more people seem to be behind their screens to find something interesting to watch and that may only contribute to more views. One excited fan posted, "Ugh!!!!! I was on edge while watching Money Heist Part 3 Episode 8. I caaaannnnnnoottttt wait for Part 4. #MoneyHeist fever is on!"
Another wrote, "Part 4 of #MoneyHeist cannot be postponed for two reasons: 1. I have waited long enough 2. We're all bored at home and this is the perfect time to release it!"
Calling out for war, one fan wrote, "I feel like a criminal now. At least with dignity, perhaps? Haha! Whatever it is, I'm ready for part 4. I'm in for WAR! #MoneyHeist," and another wondered, "What if we’re part of MONEY HEIST season 4, where the professor and his team are busy robbing the world banks and that’s why we’re told to stay at home."
"Finally finished watching #MoneyHeist 2 parts what a wonderful series from @NetflixIndia amazing... Heard part 4 going to release on April 3rd worldwide, everyone waiting," one posted. Some fans, however, are still catching up on older seasons. "Want to watch #MoneyHeist but hearing that Part 4 is released this Friday means I will never catchup.. Especially considering I'm 2 episodes (4 at a push) a day person."
Created by Álex Pina and first broadcast on Spanish network Antena 3, it was not familiar until Netflix picked it up and slightly revamped the format. Apparently, they created two seasons instead of one and the episodes were re-edited to make them 45-50 minutes long. In fact, the show was initially intended to be a limited series.
The series follows El Professor, who brings con-artists and criminals together, to pull off the ultimate heist of the Royal Mint of Spain in Season 1. As the episodes unfold, the missing pieces of the puzzle start to fit in together and the racy pace keeps viewers hooked. Code-named after cities, the group teams up yet again in Season 2 to assault the Bank of Spain.
If you haven't watched the show yet, tune in to Netflix and stream all the three parts. The fourth part is all set to premiere on April 3, 2020, on the streaming channel.
