"Mixed emotions": Celine Dion announces end of her Las Vegas residency after 16 years
Beginning with her first residency back in 2003, singing powerhouse Celine Dion has performed over 1000 shows in Las Vegas. Come October, though, the 'My Heart Will Go On' hitmaker will be starting the final run of this chapter of her career as she announced the end of her Vegas residency after 16 years.
Naturally, Dion is all emotional about the turn of events. In fact, taking to social media recently, the 50-year-old songstress poured her heart out to her fans.
“I definitely have mixed emotions about this final run,” the Grammy-winning singer shared in a statement posted via Facebook. “Las Vegas has become my home and performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace has been a big part of my life for the past two decades. It’s been an amazing experience and I’m so grateful to all the fans who have come to see us throughout the years. Every show we do at the Colosseum throughout this fall, and right up until the final one, will feel very special.”
