'A Million Little Things' Season 2 theories include Theo dying in the finale and Sophie finding out about Delilah and Eddie's affair

'A Million Little Things' started with the unfortunate and rather sudden death of Jon (Ron Livingston). On paper, he is perfect, but when he unexpectedly takes his own life, his friends and family are left behind to pick up the pieces of their lives.

The group of friends - comprised of David Giuntoli as Eddie Saville, Romany Malco as Rome Howard, Allison Miller as Maggie Bloom, Christina Moses as Regina Howard, Grace Park as Katherine Kim Saville, James Roday as Gary Mendez and Stephanie Szostak as Delilah Dixon - are devastated following the death.

Each of them is not living the life they had imagined for themselves - things, as they do, have taken a turn for the unexpected. Jon's death forces them to take a fresh look at the life they've made and the decisions they've taken.

Ahead of the release of season 2 later this week on September 26, fans cannot contain their wild theories about the upcoming season 2. Social media has been rampant about their expectations from season 2.

"When Theo (Eddie and Katherine's son, played by Tristan Byon) got that nosebleed on his field trip, I thought that maybe could they do a childhood cancer theme next year (maybe they wouldn't want to have another person with cancer) But anyway, I thought that maybe the nosebleed was foreshadowing something with Theo and that he would need bonemarrow from a sibling leading to the truth about Delilah and Eddie because their baby would be a match," hypothesized a fan.

Another theorized linking a character from Jon's past to the present. "I have a theory that Barbara Morgan [the mysterious woman from Jon's past] is the biological mother of Delilah’s daughter. When she mentioned she has been pregnant when her husband died (and that there is some reason she is 1/4 beneficiary), that popped to mind."

Many fans are ready for someone to die this season. "I think Theo is going to die in the season finale. It has been said that a core character will die. I think the nosebleeds have something to do with Theo dying," lamented a fan.

Meanwhile, fans think it is high time the true nature of Eddie's relationship with Delilah is out. "I also think Sophie is going to find out about the affair and turn her back on Delilah and Eddie for the lies they told; especially if Eddie really does tell Katherine that the baby is his, I don’t see the rest of the group/family being unaware of that information for much longer," a fan said

'A Million Little Things' Season 2 premieres on ABC September 26 at 9 p.m.
