Miley Cyrus suffers wardrobe malfunction while co-hosting New Year's Eve Party special
Miley Cyrus suffered a major wardrobe malfunction while co-hosting her New Year's Eve Party special on NBC with Pete Davidson on Friday night when her top, which was held together by silver straps, came undone.
In the event which was streamed live from Miami, Florida, the 29-year-old Hannah Montana alum was performing hit single 'Party In The USA' just moments after the clock struck 12 when her silver, barely-there top broke. She was stunned by what had happened and looked down at her chest, catching the garment before it could expose her breasts. while her band and backup singers did their best to carry on the stalled performance, the singer swiftly made her way backstage. She reemerged wearing a bright red blazer in place of her broken top. Grooving to one of the lines in the 'Party In the USA' song, she joked that, "Everybody's DEFINITELY looking at me now!" She also did not lose her sense of humor, as she quipped that her current outfit was the most clothed she has ever been during a performance.

Cyrus performed a medley consisting of her 2020 song 'Midnight Sky' and her controversial 2013 hit 'We Can't Stop,' apart from the hit 'Party In The USA.' She wore a glitzy top with a number of strategic holes and a cowl neckline while delivering her performance. It was the dazzling straps that failed the singer. The top was paired with a matching skirt, which was equally as revealing as she twirled around on stage.
Cyrus' outfit did stay intact while singing 'Midnight Sky' and 'We Can't Stop.' After her malfunction, when Cyrus was getting herself fixed by the glam squad, Davidson was forced to take center stage as the comedian acknowledged that there was "almost a boob slip." Cyrus returned to treat her audience with another equally groovy song before thanking them and viewers at home for tuning in. At the time she joked about her special's unexpected moment of drama. "Tonight's show was all about being flexible. Rolling with the punches and making the best out of even the worst circumstances. And that resilience shouldn't end here," she said. "Let's bring that into the new year with us. We've all learned how to expect the unexpected."

Miley Cyrus' had a number of wardrobe changes during the course of co-hosting the New Year's Eve party. She and Davidson open the show with their own hilarious rendition of Will Smith's hit single 'Miami.' They discussed their mutual love of marijuana, joked about strict FCC guidelines around "cursing." They also ended up playfully bickering over who was the true "star of the show."
Cyrus at the time flashed her enviably toned tummy in a barely-there metallic tube top and a glitzy beaded skirt. She also threw on a rainbow fur coat and slipped her feet into a pair of strappy heels to stomp around the stage with Davidson. She rocked a pale eyeshadow look and dramatic winged eyeliner which went perfectly with her bleach blonde hair. She finished off her look with a pair of glittery silver platform shoes with ankle straps.
